I think the caption is correct, everyone is facing the 56, not the 47 next to them!

Lots of varied entries this week, lots of people who's permission we need lol, what's up with the description on #8 though - 56097???

Let's not start a war! I had to disallow 2 entries where I featured... ;) (only kidding).

56097 would appear to be in the background! Unless my eyes are getting bad.

2, 13 and 16 were good my opinion, I felt 16 made the best picture. If the picture of the 185 at Barnetby had been straight, I would have considered it further.

Im going with No.16 thats what railway enthusiast mean! ;)
15 is also good but is not straight.
Im sure I saw No.3 somewhere before ;)
Its few good shots this week anyway, and I thought that'll be not many pics after reading your conversation in the thread about entries to this one. ;)

Please do not reveal which photo is yours, it is against the rules. I have deleted the offending post.

Number 16 is my favourite. I'm also very impressed with 5, and I too find the comment accompanying number 13 rather amusing!

Spoilt for choice this week. A superb selection of shots IMHO. Sorry guys but for me it has to be 15 because a) the kid reminds me of me when I was kid getting the camera out to phot trains, and b) it features a 185 and for some obtuse reason that I can't fathom, I quite like them. I know it's not the best from a 'technical' viewpoint, but hey-ho. Love the caption on 13 though! :D

I voted for #13, nothing to do with the caption which is amusing, but a good illustration. I would have gone for #15, I'm not bothered by the wonky horizon (although it is a shame), the real 'miss' for me is that the lad is no in focus and the train is, would have worked better the other way in my opinion. Good varied selection though, good luck to all

Odd that after all the hot air surrounding this choice of subject from some quarters that there hasn't been any legal action taken yet!

Such a difficult one this week - there are numerous really good photos! Would also like to say that what a great theme it has turned out to be - has made for some very different photos and a different viewpoint too.

I didn't enter this week (to be honest, all the bickering in the previous thread kind of put me off) but as it happens I'm glad I didn't as my potential entry is no match for any of these.

I have decided on #15 - I think the composition is good and overall its a pretty good picture. Also shows a nice combination of old and new/young. Looking at it, I think the reason it doesn't look straight is because the angle onto the bridge, but actually if you look on the PIS pole, that lines up to the corner of the picture it seems, as do the paving flags.

I also love the caption of #13 - can quite imagine it being a line by Andy Parsons on Mock The Week too!
