Thanks for the info, much appreciated.https://www.schuhfried.com/service/multimedia/ some of the Vienna tests.
Glop is the memory test I think it’s called the trp test it’s in with the dials test. It’s basically a passage about an imaginary train, you hear the passage played out and you read the passage you get I think about 5 mind to absorb the information then there is 18 questions about the passage try to remember things such as the colour of the market boards, who operates the glop train the colours of the light, and when it is run Autum I believe is the answer to that one, what is it used for these are some of the questions that I remember about it hope this helps a little.
So I just received an email back from the OPC after I asked if I’d be required to sit all computer tests as I passed these a while ago. They have said I’d need to take the MMI (which I knew anyway as I’ve never done one), however I wouldn’t be asked to resit the Vienna tests again. Now apologies if this is a silly question, but I haven’t seen them listed as this officially anywhere in the invite email I receive. Is the Vienna testing just another name for all computer tests? Cheers all!
Good luck! As I said, I only managed 8 on the DFFT and passed so don’t worry too much about this. I was confident they were all correct, and would imagine any incorrect could have meant a fail if only completing 8? Not certain, but obviously if you complete 11 or 12 and get one or two wrong it’s nit the end of the world, likewise if you do 11 or 12 and get 6 or 7 wrong it probably would be a fail. About accuracy rather than outright speed.Sat the stage 1 testing of the OPC tests this morning in the ibis Styles hotel in Crewe, seemed to go OK. The tea-occ was easier than I was expecting. If anywhere let me down it would've my speed. I only managed to finish 9 of the DFFT questions and didn't get close to completing the TRP 2 questions either. TRP 1 I finished but don't know how accurate. Group Bourdon is as always simple so that bit doesn't worry me too much. Now for the waiting game
I might have read it was Autum on a practice passage somewhere, was it about a train that applies glop to a track for leaves ? Operated by a guard? Hope it went well for you.The Autumn part wasn't in the test or passage, I take it they use different passages for us to use then?

I had my feedback today from the OPC and I had passed all except the memory test to enhanced standard. I only completed 17 dials and 11 on the DFFT so I think you shouldn't worry too much.
I passed my stage 1 and was given a date of 6th October, I emailed to say I was out of the country on that date and they have managed to accomodate me, so Id have thought you’d be ok, as it seems theyre running them til atleast the end of the year as mine has been changed from October 6th to December 6th, however they said they would not change it again. I hope this helps. Mine was for Birmingham by the way
Thanks....that seems to indicate there’s flexibility. I’ve aleady sent them an email advising of my holiday dates so hopefully they can allocate around it.
I was told today that the DFFT had only a pass or fail, its inclusion was part of the enhanced test but if you were to go to a FOC that didn't require enhanced scores you wouldn't sit it.How many dials were there in total? That seems like quite a few nonetheless?
Edit: just realised actually, you said all bar the memory test to enhanced standard? I only had to do the DFFT and Dots as they said they were the only two tests that needed an enhanced pass mark? I think. Hope they got it right and they don’t tell me to sit more haha
Yeah, that’s how I understood the DFFT as I didn’t sit it on the standard tests. What I meant was that the Group Bourden was the only other test I had to sit, because my original pass was only tested to the normal standard, or it didn’t reach the enhanced standard? (Not sure how there’s two standards for that one mind you as I was as quick and accurate this time round as I was the first time round? You never know I guess). Because of this I (wrongly?) assumes that those were the only two tests measured to a higher standard. Maybe my other results met the enhanced standard when I sat them? I don’t know, I’m over analysing again I think haha.I was told today that the DFFT had only a pass or fail, its inclusion was part of the enhanced test but if you were to go to a FOC that didn't require enhanced scores you wouldn't sit it.
Well the GLOP test is definitely set as an enhanced score with FL but you might have already achieved the higher score in a previous test and not be required to re-do it.Yeah, that’s how I understood the DFFT as I didn’t sit it on the standard tests. I think I should just concentrate on what I’ve been told I have to do going forward

When I got feedback, the guy from the OPC said the Dials and GBT scores I had met enhanced, the Tea-occ and DFFT were not reliant on enhanced scores but the Glop obviously was as I only met the national standard on that one.
Anyone got any idea what the mmi questions are?

Cheers pal! Yeah the fact you got 8 and passed makes me feel better, I just hope mine were answered accurately!Good luck! That’s the one don’t know where I got Autum from lol.It was about a train that applies glop but for better traction on the rails and is used at a certain speed. No mention of leaves or seasons from what I remember lol.
Cheers mate
In a round about sort of way it’s to do with autumn if the train is applying ‘glop’ to aid adhesion I guess....?That’s the one don’t know where I got Autum from lol.
Its a obfuscated account of the sandite trains procedure. Unfortunately for me, after i had done my answers I had a spare minute and started being doubtful about it and messed with my answers, changing some. My advice to anyone doing it is stick with your original answers as they're more than likely right and you are more likely to get it wrong if you review them afterIn a round about sort of way it’s to do with autumn if the train is applying ‘glop’ to aid adhesion I guess....?

But may be you weren't wrong?!I had a spare minute or two on mine also... then I realised I answered a question which was asked in a different way in order to catch you out. I can’t remember what the question was, but was something to do with sounding the horn or something. Instantly realised one of my two answers was wrong, was just about to rectify my mistake and time was up!!! Knowing that I had made a mistake, I then began to wind myself up about it..... until I had the email to say I passed!! Phewwww!!!
But may be you weren't wrong?!
That's what i was wandering too mate lolA silly question, or a name for all computer tests?
