Hull Trains have been using TPE 802s for crew training for a number of months. There are no HT 802s currently in the country.
Give it a white stripe and it would pass for the old Hull Corporation bus and trolleybus scheme! The deep blue colour looks very good, give it an orange stripe down the side and it could pass for GNER!

They have four 180s and I think need three in traffic. So presumably three diagrams. Though at the moment they have access to two HSTs so there's a lot more flex than is typical. How many diagrams have Hull trains got to swap over then, sorry if that's a stupid question I haven't got much interest in 180 type matters
Correct - two originating from Hull each day and one from overnighting in LondonThey have four 180s and I think need three in traffic. So presumably three diagrams.
“Brake force runners” and “translators“ more correctly...That is a lot of barrier vehicles!
Fair enough, but are there usually that many?“Brake force runners” and “translators“ more correctly...
I think they use the same consist of ”extras” no matter what is being moved, certainly those badly painted containers at the front can be seen in many delivery moves from the continent. So it’s possible the delivery FOC and European counterparts sometimes end up using a much bigger train than would theoretically be needed.Fair enough, but are there usually that many?

Passenger doors now in Hull Trains colours.
The FOC is RailAdventure https://www.railadventure.de/en/ who do movements on the continent the same as Rail Operations Group do here. Their logo can be seen on the sides of the wagons.I think they use the same consist of ”extras” no matter what is being moved, certainly those badly painted containers at the front can be seen in many delivery moves from the continent. Curious why it's running on diesel under the wires?Seen here passing Stevenage
Default mode of operation, doesn't require the same level of testing, training etc. I imagine.Curious why it's running on diesel under the wires?
You have to test the diesels as well as the electrics as part of commissioning before the documents can be signed off.Curious why it's running on diesel under the wires?
First unit unveiled at Hull today, livery features images and names of each station called at. Rumour at the station is that it’s out in service from tomorrow!
