Has this HST been modded to perform at same level of reliability as Class 180?
It was just homesick, scared of what Crofton might do to it!

No I don't believe so, I just think Hull & Bristol can't get there act together. They have just sent up both sets and so they can still keep training on the other set. I thought by know they could have started service with a set by next week, that's a joke.Has this HST been modded to perform at same level of reliability as Class 180?
Not a blanket ban, but it'll be key whether it's enough to notch up the risk score categorisation for the crossing or not. If it does, some sort of mitigation will have to be applied to bring it back down again (or some demonstration that the risk is as low as reasonably practicable with all sensible measures applied)
Point is, it's not enough to say it happens at other crossings so is fine here, each crossing is unique in its set up, usage and specific risks
There certainly were HST workings through Beverley way back in the 70s or 80s. There were odd excursions/charters, but for at least one (and possibly several) summer seasons the timetabled Glasgow <> Scarborough bucket & spade service ran in passenger service through to Bridlington and Hull (and back) and it used an HST. How relevant - I have no idea.I dont think the HST is ordinarily cleared to Beverley, so it probably wont do all of that diagram.

43190+43165 have returned home to Bristol for maintenance. It's only done a few training runs. Plus 43190 dropped all its coolant apparently.
That's good they may have them in service next week.43165 + 43190 moved back to Hull today, from SPM
Possibly the set returning that went down on Tuesday.

There is only one set, no plans for any more. It returns to Bristol for maintainence on a Tuesday and comes back to Hull on a Thursday.

There is a St Phillips Marsh - Hull Botanic Gardens path in for tomorrow (Thursday 14th Feb). Another set?

No, there are plans for two sets, which will alternate weekly - one set with Hull, one maintenance/spare at SPM. The second set is formed up: power cars 43020/023.There is only one set, no plans for any more. It returns to Bristol for maintainence on a Tuesday and comes back to Hull on a Thursday.
Not just driver-training - also to provide extra capacity as a stopgap until new stock was introduced; unfortunately the TOC decided it couldn't be bothered, and the franchising body more or less shrugged its shoulders.Good to see Hull Trains managed in a few months what TPE couldn't - introduction of Mark 3 coaches. The HST is an extra to aid performance given the dire reliability of 180s. The TPE Mark 3s were to assist driver training, yet many hurdles were fallen at .
