My printer has chosen a spectacular time to completely fail and I can't print my Great Escape voucher. Nowhere will be open where I can until after I need to leave tomorrow. Can I explain the situation at MKC tomorrow and;

Show the ticket office at MKC the voucher on my phone?
Take the voucher as a PdF on a USB stick and ask them to print it off for me?

I would have thought LM would be aware of the risk of people not having access to printers at late notice so there should be a way through this situation but I don't want to be stuck tomorrow with no means of getting the ticket. Thanks.

I tweeted London Midland for you to see if they would give me an answer but they didn't reply.

I imagine they will need the printout to be able to issue the voucher, you can try showing them on your phone and taking a copy on USB to see if they will print but they might not.

Best of luck.

Anybody else live in Milton Keynes for this poor guy without a printer?

If you were in Essex, I'd invite you to pick up a copy from me!

I decided not to proceed in the end partly owing to this and partly to the weather. I'll do a similar replacement outing next week but the really annoying thing is NRE no longer allow you to get London Midland's Super Off-peak fares on their results. I have written to them about that! Fortunately I know most of them off by heart anyway.

I'm not sure why that is presenting a problem? National Rail Enquiries do not sell tickets, and the booking sites should show (and sell) these fares. Also if you just want to look fares up brfares.com should do the trick.

Why should LM care whether you have a printer or not?

Surely the email conformation voucher would suffice?

The Terms and Conditions of the offer clearly state that you have to hand in the voucher when buying your ticket(s), and that tickets won't be issued without a voucher.

As with print at home tickets, it's your responsibility to have a working printer, not the operator's.

Well because they don't get to sell their ticket if I don't have one...

They wouldn't allow any digital version because they need to keep the physical voucher and stamp on it what station it was exchanged at. But as I already said I scrapped due to the weather anyway.

I only realised it had failed at 10PM on Saturday night, hence me starting this thread, so none of those were really an option! Moral of the story is print it out when you order it and not the night before you're going to use it!
