Have done so via feedback form - have been promised a response....Sounds like a serious attitude problem. I'd let VTEC know if I were you.

Let's hope it is in the form of £50 of RTVs!
What catering would you get on the 12:23 from Peterborough to Leeds on Saturday the 1st of August? I am wondering if it would be worth getting an advance for £14.25 in first class (compared to £12.50 in standard).
Thanks!
So not too much then. Do you think that they will hand out snacks (like cake/crisps) with the sandwiches?
Also, will this ticket give me access to the Leeds first class lounge? I don't think PBO has one.
I've had a ticket that costs £25 (the lowest tier) on the 0943 EUS - BHM before now.
Thanks! This was a big help. I have decided to book in First as for a couple of pounds extra I will get a lot more.
Thanks again!

You normally get a pre-packed sandwich, a pre-packed slice of cake and a small bag of crisps. You'll get soft drinks and hot drinks, but no alcohol.
Hello folks. There's a lot of experience with VTEC First Class service standards here, so I'm interested in the following.
Next Friday we're booked on the 1918 PBO-YRK (which is the 1830 KGX-EDB).
The timetable indicates that there is an evening meal service until Newark North Gate, and that meal service is available for "journeys of 70 minutes or more."
For us, that's an end-to-end journey of 74 minutes
The pessimist in me expects that is the perfect combination to mean we miss a hot meal. What are our chances?
Many thanks!

Just done the Northbound Chieftan York-Inverness.
The service has been generally fantastic. Plenty of drinks runs, both crews fantastic and before Inverness everyone was given/offered 'one for the road,' which was great service and is a contrast to the stinginess of some crew members.
The pea/mint/feta quiche was nice, as were the teriyaki noodles from the all day extra menu. I was also given enough lemon cake for a life time (it's fantastic btw).
Well done VTEC, a world apart from some of my experiences.
