Yeah, I have noticed as well that the train fares with scotrail are not overly expensive against Firsts ticket prices, but there are most likely many more who could still be using buses but choose not too through sheer convenience, again in contrast to edinburgh you get a feeling more people across there are happier using the buses regardless if they have a train or not.
Evident by East Coast Buses who have turned a decent profit to date yet compete against the trains on a few places they go.
If the public in paisley, greenock and Glasgow don't have a healthy attitude towards bus travel you certainly aren't going to have the passengers.
