@Leetw13 & @RSKB

l havent had my assessment yet but from what ive read on other forums....

Part 1 consists of an audio tape about 'sandite' or 'glop' as they call it. e.g TRP1-Glop
being played while given a text to read at the same time.. and then after its taken away and you have to answer question about what you just read/heard.

'Glop' is nickname for 'sandite' because of its consistency.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandite

Im not sure if the whats being played is gonna be different to what we have to read to distract you from the text/tryna memorise it. (HOPE NOT!)
Hopefully someone whos done the test can correct me on that.

Looking forward to see you and good luck. I am happy to share my progress and material if you want. I got some good practice test for tea-occ.

Hey drazky congratulations. I can honestly say from reading your posts here that you sound like a genuinely nice guy and you deserve all your success so far. I will see how I get on on the 19th and then might message you for some tips. Once again thanks for all the info.

So when do you give your notice in? With that amount to wait I'll be a less motivated towards the end at my current job.

Smila, is that a girl?:)
Did you prepare your OTDPQ?

Haha no I'm not a girl sorry to disappoint you.
Yeah I completed the OTDPQ questions a few days ago now, I'm just trying to do as much research on the company as possible & make sure I can answer any questions they throw at me.

Their websites are very good indeed!
Look at MTR corporation and MTR Crossrail of course! As much as better ,be yourself and do not look at magic words someone wants to hear!As I mentioned in my post they want to hear you and your motivation.Work on this!Very important for me is OTDPQ . Be honest and know why you answered this or that way.Be simple , confident and logical and of course be ready to elaborate!

How long was the manager interview?? As long as the mmi???

Hello All,
Nice to see so much info, I am summoned on the 22nd of February for all the tests in one day (at least this is what my email says),
I must say that I am only worried about the MMI and interview as the rest I believe I have a good grip on them.
My MMI worry is the 5 answers you have to give Strongly Agree, Agree, neutral, disagree or strongly disagree (been reading a lot of physiology books and based on them if you answer strongly either way is kinda wrong, what do you guys think?
thanks
Peter

Hi all

I'm relatively new to this forum bit I've been following this topic for a while and find it very useful and informative.

I'm through to the Assessment Centre as well, but on 24 March - gives me a bit of time to practice.

Other than the info MTR email'd and the Dots Concentration tool linked to from this forum, are there any other good practice materials out there?

The info I've been sent for 24/3 says it's these tests:

Trainability for Rules and Procedures Test Part 1 and 2
Group Bourdon Concentration Test
Driver Fault Finding Test (DFFT)
Test of Everyday Attention for Occupational Assessment (TEA-Occ)
Personality Questionnaire (OTDPQ)

I have:
· The Trainability for Rules and Procedures Test Part 1 and 2

· The Group Bourdon Concentration Test

· The Driver Fault Finding Test (DFFT)

· The Test of Everyday Attention for Occupational Assessment (TEA-Occ)

And definitely no OTDPQ.

Does anyone know when or if they will need drivers based at shenfield? Or is ilford the furthest east? If you were successful for old oak common would they let you transfer over to shenfield at a later date? Any help or advice would be appreciated

Will do drazky and well done on passing and explaining the process to others. May I ask how old you are as I am wondering at 48 if I might be deemed to old for the process.

Thanks once again I thought you were more mature than your average person in your communication. I don't live within the 40 mins rule but would be willing to move, however owing to the sheer numbers applying my candidate number was in the 17000s I am not expecting a reply from cross rail. But good wishes to those of you who are still in the process as they are a truly excellent company to work for which is becoming rarer these days. Dom

Re: Application for the role of Trainee Train Driver with MTR Crossrail

Thank you for completing the MTR Crossrail online tests for the role of trainee driver. I’m pleased to tell you that you’ve been successful and have been shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process which is an assessment centre where we would like to get to know you some more and to see if working for MTR Crossrail as a trainee train driver would be right for you and the organisation.

The assessment centre will be held at the MTR Crossrail offices at 63 St Mary Axe, London, EC3A 8NH. The assessment centre will run on 22 February 2016 from 09:00 until 17:00. We recommend that you plan to arrive by 8:45 at the very latest as the assessment centre will start promptly at 09:00. If you arrive after 09:00 then you will not be able to take part in the assessment centre and you will be turned away. Some practice test materials are attached to help you prepare. It’s recommended that you focus on the practice test materials for the following tests which you will sit on the day:

· The Trainability for Rules and Procedures Test Part 1 and 2
· The Group Bourdon Concentration Test
· The Driver Fault Finding Test (DFFT)
· The Test of Everyday Attention for Occupational Assessment (TEA-Occ)
