This town is on a main line to London, but the station wasn't built by the company that built that line. The original line to that town wasn't connected to the main line till after grouping.

Is it Bedford St. Johns?

Bedford Midland is on the mainline to London, but St. Johns was built by LNWR and not directly connected to the mainline until 1984?

Stop stealing my thunder!

but links both sides of the West Coast Main Line

Can you explain that please?

All stations in Great Britain managed by a TOC, but not served by them:
Water Orton (LM)
Coleshill Parkway (LM)
Willington (EMT)
Hinckley (EMT)
Narborough (EMT)
South Wigston
Willington (EMT)
Burton-on-Trent (EMT)
Wilnecote (LM)
Lockerbie (SR)

The last time I checked, you're only allowed to give one answer

Tbh I don't even get the question, and then looking at the list, none of those seem to match the 'criteria' that I was thinking of?

Okay then, this station, has no trains that stop there by the company that manage it but links both sides of the West Coast Main Line

I may say Dunbar: managed by EC, but still served by them (not very much though!), and EC links London and Glasgow (both ends of the WCML) but via a different route? Quite confusing wording, tbh.

Can you explain the question more? It doesn't make much sense

Absolutely sir

The trains that stop at this station are not trains managed by the company that own the station but you can travel either way to get to the West Coast Main Line

That make it clear sir?

Coleshill Parkway: managed by LM, trains services suppiled by XC, eastbound to Nuneaton (on the 'true' WCML), westbound to Birmingham New St (on a 'loop', but still on the WCML)?

Well that must be a record, Coleshill Parkway is the correct answer!

Wasn't really too tricky when the question was phrased properly. Don't think anyone would have got it in a million years otherwise, except by working one by one through the list of stations owned by one TOC and with services provided by another. 'Both sides of the WCML' means up and down lines AFAIAC.
