Suspect the problem is between the monitor and the chair.
The printer will only print what the computer (and by extension the user) tells it to. A quick Google will show you how you might try to resolve this.
Did it come with any printer/driver software on a CD. If so, did that instal correctly ?
Just curious as to why you want to print the internet, when you can save most websites as offline pages, pdf's can also be saved and then access them from your phone or a tablet or suchlike
There was a CD that I think I played.
About ten years ago, everything was "plug and play". Now its plug and despair.
I'm on Windows 8.1, which its fair to say, I don't like as much as previous versions.

I think there is probably nothing wrong with the printer, but I guess it could possibly be failing to print fonts. If you can print a test page, that would be helpful.Well, it seems to be the same with pdf's and website print screens. The only way I can get it to print the text is to take a screenshot and print as a picture - which is a bit of a faff.
Ah, in that case you might be experiencing issues with drivers. How comes you haven't updated to 10?
Windows 10 is significantly better than 8 or 8.1 in my opinion. They all seem to be getting progressively worse, so I'm loath to upgrade anything until I have to.
The bar had been set pretty low.Windows 10 is significantly better than 8 or 8.1 in my opinion.

As others have said, it sounds software related. I have used HP printers, both inkjets and lasers, since the late 90's without too much issue (certainly found them better than the likes of Epson on the inkjet front). Most of my recent experience has been lasers
We like to call it 'Plug and Pray' (though generally this isn't the case now, but it certainly used to be)
I use Classic Shell on Windows 10, as I really dislike the new style start menu and I love the extensive range of customisation available in the program (my desktop looks more like vista at quick glance now!).8 is a bit weird. Install Classic Shell and you can get the start menu back (I will never understand why they got rid of one of Windows' most popular and best designed features). Or upgrade to 10 which also reinstates it.

Personally I've still got Windows 7, I've been using it since 2010 and I'm as pleased with it now as I was then. I would quite like to try Windows 10 though.
