If my predictions are right, I think we'll see 333011 running srveices in about 2-3 weeks time (i'm going by the time between when 333013 came back from refurbishment and when we saw it come back into service)

The 333s seem to be being refurbed pretty rapidly, I suspect at the current rate they will all be done by Autumn?

I think by then there will be 1 or 2 more 333s to do by then, probably by the end of the year I think they'll all be done.

Baring in mind im basing it on the fact that only two 333s have been completed since January: 333013 and 333011 (333001 doesn't count since that was completed in 2018).

13 of the 16 units left to do at 3 weeks at Holbeck each is 39 weeks which is around 10 months so unlikely to be all done thus year.

agreed, I think we can have another 4 more units done (excluding 333015) by August/ September. I probably think we're looking at January or February next year to see the whole fleet of 333s done

I'd imagine the 333s aren't a priority because they're already PRM compliant.

There's also a certain amount of capacity in the fleet if all the 321s and 2s are all operational.

333007 appeared to have been denamed when I caught it this morning- just as well I took a picture of the nameplate on Monday afternoon!

I wonder if this will be the next unit to go in after 333015 comes out

Apparently the 32x were struggling a bit over winter, but there does seem to be a bit of slack outside of multiple failures coinciding.
I did hear a rumour a while back (and I stress rumour!) that "old" Northern only wanted 3 of the 322s but the ROSCO insisted they lease all 5.

333007 is currently still named, it only has the name at one end of the unit

Funnily enough, I saw it again on the way home and both driving trailers on one side had names! I guess one side must have been damaged in the carriage washers or something.

333s have driving motors.

That looks new unlike the half arsed Sprinter refurbs. Obviously caused by Siemens calling the shots and it shows.

Nope, same people managing the 333 refurbs as the rest of the fleet refurbs. More to do with a fleet being in good condition to start with.....

I guess your on about the sprinters that haven't received a full interior refurb yet (no new seat covers or linos)

I agree, they do look great and I can't wait until they've all been refurbished.

Probably has something to do with the 333s already being PRM compliant and therefore undergoing the entire refurb in one go, whereas the DMUs are undergoing different parts of the improvement program at different times, with more of a focus on pushing as many through PRM mods as possible before January, despite being short on units.
