Has anybody heard anything yet if there are to be courses anytime this year,
a little frustrated now,
I thought new year new start but doesnt look as though that will happen
Just have to keep checking those e-mails daily dont want to miss anything

Hi all, I applied for trainee driver position on 16 December 2015 Leeds based just heard today via e-mail that they are still siftin due to large amount of applicants.Does anyone know if northern still carry out visual comparison online testing for short listing? Also do they still have mechanical comprehension, dials test,TEA -Occ,WAFV,2 hand co-ordination,fast reaction+ATAVT? Or any others? Cheers

Blimey! You've had the heads up for that job. I think they do the online test still, I did it a few years back when I applied for guard role. Mechanical test has gone and so has the reaction test with the foot pedals and flashing colours. The newer tests are still failable though and if you do get to the pshycometric stage you will still need to go through the practice material. Good luck.

I couldnt find anything relanvant either, I just used what northern send you and it worked for me

Hi guys and girls! I have just passed my interview and assessment day I recieved a phone call to offer me a postion of conductor and have my medical in afew days I am already employed and I'm abit concerned about my training will there be tests I need to pass within the training and if I fail those will I be out of a job? I don't want to hand my notice in at my current employment to fail in the training any advice please

Every 4th Friday, next pay day being the 30th of Jan.

Yeah I can't believe it yet never thought I'd get this far after applying last year when the vacancy was withdrawn thought it would take forever but they said training starts 23rd feb so they want hurry it along.Really?! They did say within 7days which would only be on this weds coming. Email for those who failed or passed but on hold and phone call for the successful with a position

Not sure when you signed your contract but we are due two payrises.

3% From 30th Jan backdated to April 2014
2.5% Or RPI from April 2015

Should make the training wage a little more bearable
