As there isn't a thread for RL yet...
Marwan Koukash, the owner of Salford, has rebranded the club using their old 'Salford Red Devils' name and wants them to become a 'big club', which has ruffled a few feathers in the sport.
He also wants to buy Oldham Roughyeds (and Oldham Athletic FC) with the intention of constructing a new stadium for both clubs in Oldham, and getting Roughyeds into the Super League - which would mean two teams in the same league under the same ownership. Is this allowed and has it happened before in other sports?
