Wow. I am surprised at your tone. I am deeply dismayed that yet another Scottish location with rich railway heritage and engineering expertise, is to close. Continues the trend of the last few decades I guess.
From the information available, I think everyone can safely assume that what Wabtec say, is very different from what they do. The project has been an absolute disaster and I was amazed to read (on here?) that someone was even suggesting extending the sets mid-decade! They will be so ancient by then that Tutankhamen could be driving them. A new order needs to be sent in but the economy is going to be so badly damaged by COVID-19 that there is little chance of that currently.
