Did notice that 128 wasn't running 035 was and that was at the buffer end in the yard.
That doesn't imply anything - normal practice would be to shut one power car down when stabled like that with the other left supplying ETS to the set.

Yeah I know but usually you'd shutdown the buffer end power car, sometimes the running would be swapped if sat for days as has happened on scotrail.
Anyway it doesn't appear to be a power problem that caused it to be removed from service.

That sounds interesting - does that mean the brake force was less than it should have been at each step on the controller?
Maybe, or uneven pressures or overactive WSP, could be lots of things. Recharging the brake solves most issues like this but takes a wee while and ScotRail control won't let the driver fault find(cut and run policy) if there was another unit that could be stepped up quickly and keep the service more or less on time, albeit a 158.

Unfortunately the final 3 5th coaches which were due to enter service imminently have been heavily vandalised by children at Slateford depot and have lots of smashed windows and damaged interiors. Shame. Vehicles 42144, 42185, 42209.

HA08 eventually returning from Wolverton to Carlisle today and onto Inverness tomorrow. 1 more set at Doncaster then a full fleet available. Only taken 8 years!

Excellent, should all help with next year when they need a fair increase in diagrams to accommodate the planned enhancements in Fife.

Hopefully the final one returns before May...

Apparently HA02 is due back in a couple of weeks, so before even the December timetable change - which sees 16 booked Mon-Fri & Sat diagrams

Reliability is still not great though, on Sunday a 158 was subbed in for a 5 car HST on Edinburgh - Aberdeen runs.

All this talk of HST failures has me concerned for my last runs I'm headed on a Glasgow>Perth>Glasgow>Aberdeen trip next month, although they are quite old trains the fact their still going is astonishing,

Hi does anyone have an up to date list of which power cars are presently attached to which sets?

I know that RTT gives this information but you need to know every diagram and it won’t also detail those not working.
