Oldest running units will be mersey pepsI think the withdrawals of the 313s will mean the oldest trains in regular normal service will be the 125s with ScotRail, and maybe Cross Country and GWR briefly.

The oldest Chiltern Mark 3 is 12618, originally 11008.I think the oldest entered service November 1978, most were 1979-1981
Fairly sure some of the remaining HST vehicles might be older (entered service 1976-82), and aren't there also some mk3 carriages with Chiltern etc that were from mid 1970s
So unless anyone has definite dates, not sure if the 313s are the oldest mainline passenger stock.
Nope some carriages are to be converted to barrier vehicles to replace the former 508 ones whilst others are to be used for fire evacuation exercises firstDo we know if the three at Arlington are for breaking by Raxstar please?
Thanks.
Why the wink at the end? Is it a joke?Nope some carriages are to be converted to barrier vehicles to replace the former 508 ones whilst others are to be used for fire evacuation exercises first

313201?Sadly for those who wanted to see it again-313101 moved yesterday (2/5/23) with 313208 to Hove yard.
I guess 208's move to Hove yard, ties in with why it was substituted by 213 for the Sussex Rambler.Sadly for those who wanted to see it again-313101 moved yesterday (2/5/23) with 313208 to Hove yard.

Returned to lovers walk for Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursdays scrap move.Just went to hove to check is 313201 there. Turns out it isn’t. Only 313204 and some other unit behind it.
I checked trains that went in and out of hove yard. I can’t confirm which one is 313201. It may have moved to elsewhere or have returned to Lovers Walk? Again I can’t tell.
I checked lovers walk as well. None to be seen. Is 313201 already scarped?Returned to lovers walk for Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursdays scrap move.

nope. they changed the designation to the NR ECTS testbed as it retains several 'as built' features, which its southern refurbed sisters no longer haveIsn't 313201 going to the National Railway Museum at some point?
