Here you go. Comparison between old and new!
Just to follow up... I picked up a copy of the Bradford Telegraph and. Argus today. The vouchers there are markedly different to those in other newspapers, so I think it varies by paper, not date.

10th October has both England v Uruguay at the Etihad and the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford, so I think it is understandable Northern don't want to encourage even more people to travel on that day!
Thanks for that. Those may be the tickets we buy. Have to see what's cheaper. A paper travel card or those tickets and Oyster. Depends on the amount of travelling we might be doing.I used a Waterloo East to Charing Cross single last time, £1.85 each with Railcard. Accepted at Tower Bridge exhibition reluctantly when I pointed out that it did not say ticket must originate outside London.
Unfortunately, this is a bit of a grey area for us and the attractions some will allow entry and others will refuse.
The scheme is designed to encourage leisure travel into the capital, therefore some attractions will take this very literally and stick to it; mostly not accepting tickets from stations within London Zones 1 or 2, and for some, even 3, as they do not deem this a suitable distance. Without a minimum mileage or fare set for attractions to base their judgement upon, it is at their discretion.
So, I am sorry, I cannot guarantee that entry will be permitted with tickets for travel wholly within London. At the same time, I cannot guarantee you will be refused entry. Greater London stations such as zones 4/5/6 have a very high chance of being accepted.
The only suggestion I can make, that will enable you to use the 2FOR1 offers, is to purchase a Travelcard from your departure National Rail station. Although Travelcards from Underground stations or newsagents will not be eligible, Travelcards purchased
at a rail station are printed on the orange and cream ticket stock which attractions recognise as valid. They will also bare the National Rail logo which is essential for the offer.
Travelcard prices they are displayed on the TfL Tickets page. Here you can see Travelcard prices for more specific zones. You can use this map to find out which zones you will be needing and where stations are in London. But, please do remember, tickets purchased on Oyster or at a tube station are not valid.
Good point.I suspect even with the same attraction you would probably get different answers from different staff.
Might be better to pick an obscure station on the grounds they won't know exactly where it is - Cambridge Heath - London Terminals sounds further than it is!
Rumour has it that the Arriva Trains Wales Club 55 offer will be restarting on Monday 19th October, which is the day after the last Rugby World Cup game at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
VTEC are offering £10/£13 fares on the Leeds-London route over half term, although it doesn't seem possible to get to London before the afternoon. See https://www.virgintrainseastcoast.com/halfterm
There also appear to be some £5/£15 VT flat fare single fares showing in the selection of fares, but none are available - possibly an offer coming up soon?
Looks like grand central has increased the discount offered to NUS card holders to 25% (used to be 10%). I will need to try it out to see if the same discount comes out when booking XC advances via the GC site (haven't got my NUS card with me).
Ryanair currently have half a million seats across Europe on offer at £9.99. Book by 23.59 on Tuesday 3rd for travel until Feb. Not rail related, but is travel related so I figured some people might find it useful.
I've booked several similar fares recently (ranging from £1 to £15 each way). It actually costs more to travel the 40 miles to the airport by train!
Holders of both a Railcard + NUS Extra Card now get cheaper GC Advance fares than children
Or in some cases costs more to park the car at the airport
Northern Rail’s winter offer for Dales Railcard holders will be available between 1 November 2015 and 19 March 2016 excluding the following dates: Saturdays and Sundays 5-6, 12-13, 19-20 December 2015 and Saturday, 13 to Saturday 20 February 2016 inclusive.

The flat fare day return ticket will be available to Dales Railcard holders for travel on the specific line to which the fare relates. So if you fancy a day out in Skipton, Leeds or Bradford why not take advantage of this great deal.
