I think I find myself in a one-man-band here...I actually like Vincent! I thought he was cool, calm, pretty arrogant but not too much, and a decent salesman. Pretty loyal too I thought (with regards to the Jim thing)...oh, and his suits are just to dog's b*****ks :D 8-).

Yes, I think you are in a one man band! I'm not sure whether it was loyalty or whether he was simply scared Jim would "eat him alive" in the boardroom. Also highlighting Jim's stupidty, when he has been "let of the hook" by Vincent, he then chips in, requesting that he is project manager in the next task. Surely you would just go away quietly and thank God you haven't been fired. If I'd have been Lord Sugar, I would have fired him then for ignorance!

There's always one....!!!!!

Iw a shoping LS would be proactive and fire Jim without him being taken into the boardroom. Sadly, it was not to be!

Me too. I think she is very pretty. But it's not that sort of a contest! Though it might have been if Eric Morley had thought of it first! Imagine - Miss Apprentice 1979!!!

I miss Gavin from the process, as I thought he would've gone alot further. I'm very glad (& surprised at the manner he was fired) that Vincent has gone- too big for his shoes imo. I think Susan had a very lucky escape in the make-up task, i always thought she was stronger than she appears to be at the moment. As others have said, Jim is beginning to struggle, i'm finding it hard to predict who's going to win this time to be honest.

There is no stand out contestant so far this time around. Tom may be a dark horse though, although he hasn;t been on the winning side, he has often identified the failings of the business plan.

I agree, they are all very bland in character.

Last year the final few really had a bit of expertise, except perhaps for that "Baggs the brand" chap who was the worlds biggest bull-****ter. Even the posh spoken chap who lost the final seemed a decent sort, and that woman who ran a cleaning business but just wasnt ambitious enough, but you could see Alan Sugar had some respect for them.

This year they seem to be all trying to hide their way to the final, either by staying in the background on tasks or just saying nothing but making disgusted facial expressions at colleagues in the boardroom.

The only thing they seem to know is how to alienate people they are buying off or selling to. One woman when trying to sell a beauty product got told "no thanks" and she shouted back, what's the problem? too expensive for you?

Yeah right madam, you are not going to sell much by insulting folk.

I have to say this lot are the worst ever! I've yet to see a great deal of business acumen on show. If I was Sugar, I'd be keeping my 250000 quid in my back pocket!

Despite the current series being several episodes in, i'm still to choose a favourite or predict a winner.

I've been thinking alot about how long it's taking me compared to previous series, where I found it far easier to choose a favourite.

No wonder i'm finding it far harder to decide.. They're all as boring as each other.

I'm still loving it though. :p

I agree with you. They all seem about the same level. Appart from the ones who are utterly awful *cough*Jim*cough!

I couldn't believe him trying to make himself PM at the end of last weeks episode, despite the fact he had very narrowly missed the firing line, thanks to Vincent being too scared to take him back into the boardroom... hmm..

I've got a confession to make - I have no idea what has happened tonight due to the fact that I'm quite drunk. I've also accidentally thrown an old toilet bowl into the yard next door. Don't worry, they are noisy students as well. No damage done. Back to Wetherspoons.

That win was close - £6! In my mind, that's not a brilliant win over the other team. The losers did well to make it up after the disastrous first day.

After this episode, I've come to the conclusion that Lord Sugar shouldn't employ any of them. None of them seem likeable or knowledgeable. Last few times, I spotted Yasmina and Stella within a few weeks, but none of these candidates have shown me that quality.

I was half expecting Lord Sugar to fire Zoe and Edna. But I have to say Zoe is refreshingly straight talking, she just doesn't skirt round issues like the others. However, that doesn't mean she is good.

I agree, there's a few that make occasional good decisions but nobody really stands out as being a good all-rounder. But I suppose the selection must've partly been based on their proposal for Lord Sugar's investment, as well as their qualities for fulfilling an Apprentice style role - in fact, given that Sugar seems to make a lot of the firing decisions based on whether him and the candidate would "gel" in business, it rather makes the tasks a bit irrelevant apart from weeding out the ones sitting on the fence.

If this was a "classic" series of the Apprentice, I can't see how Zoe would've survived this long - we've not seen her successfully negotiate an important deal or pitch a product (which is probably just as well!) or come up with a decent design idea. His Lordship certainly seems to like her though, although Nick seems more taken with Susan. ;)

Yes, I think the criteria change has altered the standard of the candidates. Have you noticed there's nobody over about 35? They usually put a few older, "I've seen in all before" people in.

f this was a "classic" series of the Apprentice, I can't see how Zoe would've survived this long - we've not seen her successfully negotiate an important deal or pitch a product (which is probably just as well!) or come up with a decent design idea. His Lordship certainly seems to like her though, although Nick seems more taken with Susan. ;)

I think his Lordship craves people that just tell it like it is. "Alright, I made a huge mistake". Notice he seemed very pleased indeed with this. The vast majority will not admit mistakes - they wriggle out of it and turn it into a blame game. Although, Zoe is just annoying, I'm afraid I think Susie is just as bad.

I really don't know who is going to win, but I learned an interesting thing they don't tell you about. To avoid the papers spilling the beans and so his Lordship can evaluate the final 2, in the past he has actually employed both of them on a trial basis. Then the final is shot a few weeks before we see it, when he picks "The Apprentice"!

Well, as the Scottish bloke said on 'Tou're Fired', Zoe is fit!

I am glad Edna went, she was all mouth and trousers. As for Helen, the panel were very impressed, but I'm not - it could have gone either way, she was lucky. If Zoe hadn't had a very bad first day, her team would have won.

I was a bit more impressed with Glen tonight. But since I wasn't at all impressed with him previously, that's not saying very much!

Ah yes, Edna - the classic theory-merchant who is completely useless in the real world. 'I've got degrees in this, that and the other'. I got the impression that Lord Sugar was lying through his teeth when he said it was very impressive!

Good to see Edna go - she was beginning to frighten me. Tom is the only one left who you might want to have a drink with, though Zoe is certainly fanciable and Natasha often unintentionally funny.

I noticed my street appeared with the car driving along it twice in last night's episode! Not sure why though, as it doesn't lead to anywhere (apart from the other end).

Well, though Edna was by no means a candidate for his job, I have to admit, I was desperate for Zoe to get fired. Particularly in the past episode, she showed herself as a bad project manager and disrespectful (talking down) to other members of her team. I believe she thought she had been beaten in the board room.
I think that it called for another double firing again!

Sadly, people like Edna are not merely confiend tot eh rail industry.

Zoe clearly does not get on with Susan. It's not the first time there has been a clash between them. Zoe did look beaten when she failed to grasp the task on the first day, but she rallied and only narrowly lost in the end.

I do believe that owning up to he rmistake and apologising before the results were read out probably saved her, for this week anyway. I'm still waiting to see Jim in the board room!

So who do you think will be given the boot this week? Hoping that it is Jim, failing that lets hope that Zoe gets the axe (contrary to some other members opinions!!!)

If Jim is on the losing team, it will be very interesting to see if he is taken into the boardroom.

Keep Zoe in!!!!

Tomorrow's episode looks like it could be amusing, my money's on Leon to be fired as he's been a bit of a passenger since being PM.

Well, as the Scottish bloke said on 'Tou're Fired', Zoe is fit!

Maybe, but not so much at 5am. Although that could just be the dressing gown!

Zoe is definitely a fox, and needs to be kept in for this reason alone. Glad to see she stayed this evening, although Jim clearly fancies his chances with her and that's why he didn't bring her back to the boardroom.

Judging by You're Fired, it looks like in that case Jim (and some of you too :P) may have a fight on his hands with Glenn ;)

I have to agree with what has been said in past weeks though that really no-one shines this year in particular. Have to say I was cringing the entire way through the strapline for the lads mag :/
