Looking on the Spitfire website, the diesel for this Saturday will be, as suspected, a Class 47.

if not the tour will be going at 80mph which all tours are timed to go at

Incorrect. Tours are timed around the top speed of the loco and stock that's used for the tour, and if all tours were timed for 80mph tops there would be a lot more tours starting and finishing at stupid o'clock.

I believe 37676 is still in Scotland as well, it worked Polmont - Perth & rtn on Saturday with the diesel leg of an SRPS steam tour, I guess it is still in Scotland and will be back on the Royal Scotsman just wondered whether there was a tour with the posh-ex stock this Sat that it may be out on.

676 returned to Carnforth today.

Good day out :) 002 was in fine form. Just a shame it was too much of an ask for WCRC to shunt the stock the requested way round...

Seen at Preston during a morning photostop http://redcow.fotopic.net/p59505833.html
002 Central on arrival http://redcow.fotopic.net/p59505832.html
002 Ayr after 47786 had strummed down the coast http://redcow.fotopic.net/p59505831.html

Yes I suppose that was probably the only downside, but I wasn't bothered too much and it's one of those things. You can't have them all!

Overall, very good tour. Thanks to Spitfire for organising it (third time lucky) and to ETL for providing 87002.

Person removed by BTP at Carlisle, various rumours but wouldn't want to say anything concrete. Only a fifteen minute delay.

One more thing, it was a nice change to be sunbathing at Ayr after Birmingham provided a (very) wet start and finish!

And best left at just that - it is a matter for those involved and the police, so no 'gossip' on the subject please. Thanks.

ok, just a thing we did on the tour :D

And you wonder what people really think of you when that's what you're like... :|

An enjoyable tour, nothing special to be honest, but it did exactly what was advertised, ran to time all day (give or take a few minutes either way), so all credit to Spitfire and the ACLG/ETL.

If he's on about the boy in with the silly hat on then all of my group thought it was stupid and most around agreed.

Anyway, off to fill in the book. Bit of a red pen day!!;)

what hat, my mate had a scottish hat and a "Rasta" hat if thats what you mean

also you say boy but they are 19-20 4-5 years older than you

Don't understand why you needed to say what hat? You knew what hat as you said in a few words after in the same sentence! They may be older than me but they are still boys, didn't really act like men if they were wearing a silly hat. Just because they're older than me doesn't mean they cannot be boys. :)
