Spurs 3 v Real Madrid 1 - WOW. A superb performance fromSpurs. Absolutely superb. Spurs better than Madtrid in every department.

Great win away for Manchester City at Napoli (with Sergio Aguero breaking the city goalscoring record) and a routine home win for Liverpool

Nevermind England. Look at the Netherlands; the only 2 teams that can be out of Europe before winter.

Hyde v MK Dongs in the FA Cup first round live on TV tonight. Come on you Hyde!

The 8-division difference in terms of fitness between part timers and full timers really showed after the 60 minute mark in this game. Hyde had held the deficit to only one goal until just before added time before half time and M K Dons took their opportunities well in the second half and ended worthy 4-0 winners. The 4G plastic pitch meant that a good passing game was well rewarded. A shame that some fool threw a flare on it before the match started.

A win at home sends us up a few places on the table. I'm pretty happy about it!

A bit off topic, but sorry for not updating my team as much, been a bit busy for the past few days!

FA Cup First Round
Carlisle 3-2 Oldham :(

Minor cup upset as League two team Carlisle knock out League one team Oldham in first round of FA Cup. From sound of things Oldham were poor today and Carlisle deserve to be in hat for second round draw.

Few cup upset in round one today.

Colchester 0-1 Oxford City
Cheltenham 2-4 Maidstone United
Boreham Wood 2-1 Blackpool
Peterborough 1-1 Tranmere

Routine 3-1 win today against Barnet to progress in the cup. Hoping Chorley knock out Fleetwood in front of a sell-out crowd on Monday night and we get them next round now.

Gainsborough Trinity 0
Slough Town 6 :D
That one was a bit of a surprise. Even with how well Slough are doing at the moment, a long-ish away trip to a team from a league above also in a good vein of form (Trinity hadn't lost in seven before yesterday) was expected to be a challenge.
But the Rebels dominated, Lench scored his second hat-trick in two matches and the Rebels could even afford to miss an injury-time penalty!

Cinderford Town 2...Winchester City 2 (Lewis 24 pen, Morley-Lyne 45; Gilbert 63, Cox 83)
Attendance: 118

It really was a game of two halves at the Causeway as Winchester staged an outstanding comeback in the second half. The visitors created some early half chances before the hosts converted a penalty and followed up a period of dominance by doubling their lead at half time. Whatever was said in the away dressing room obviously worked as it was all Winchester in the second half, with midfielder Liam Gilbert scoring from distance after a corner wasn't cleared properly. Winchester's dominance, along with some important saves from goalkeeper Ryan Pryce, was paid off with seven minutes left when Pat Cox finished off a goalmouth scramble. Cinderford's keeper was then lucky not to be sent off in stoppage time for grabbing Oli Bailey and throwing him to the ground.

Slaven Bilic sacked as West Ham boss, it's been coming.

The "Chosen" One (David Moyes) rumoured to be taking over.

West Ham, Championship Champions 2018/19 ;)

It's been handled appallingly, West Ham and David Moyes deserve each other.

What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld
Of course, this is not the first time that the 2 Davids and Karren have not been supportive of the incumbent manager.

I remember when they took over, they publicly stated that they would be searching for a new manager, thus undermining the work done so far by the then manager Gianfranco Zola.
