Was just wondering what trains and seperate rolling stock people have got?

I will list mine when i know people are taking this topic seriously. But i think it would be interesting to see what everyone has got?

So the question is... What area of the country are people modelling their layouts on? What trains have you got in what liveries etc...?

From left to right;
  • Hornby 75 ton breakdown crane
  • Lima SNCF Trans Europ Express coaches
  • Lima SNCF Corail (I think) coaches
  • Hornby 6 car Eurostar (3015, 3016)
  • Hornby GNER 225 Mallard (91110, unknown DVT)
  • Hornby NSE 466040
  • Lima SR 156465 "Bonnie Prince Charlie" (My personal favorite out of everything there, and one of 400 made)
  • ViTrains Sector Petroleum 37421 "Strombidae"
  • 5x Hornby or Lima (I forget which) BR Maroon Mk1s
  • 2x TriAng BR Carmine and Cream Mk1s (One's elsewhere atm)
  • 2x Lima Motorail Wagons (the Lima ramp to go with them is there too)
  • A few Hornby Mixed wagons
  • Hornby RR 142020

There are a couple of things that are elsewhere just now, and a lot of my track too.

I need to get rid of most of it as well.

The home of the concrete cow
Very little just now.
For my proposed OO gauge light railway terminus:
Dapol Terrier
Dapol Pug (both now in the Hornby range, both in BR black)
Three maroon Hornby 4-wheel coaches
Kits for two Ratio for wheel coaches (1 compo, 1 brake third)
Assorted ancient Tri-ang wagons
Four unbuilt Coopercraft wagon kits

For the also-proposed N gauge switching yard:
Atlas BNSF SD9
Assorted, reefers, boxcars and gondolas.

Class 170 - SWT (Bachmann)

Class 60 - Trainload Petroleum (Lima)

Class 90 - RfD (Hornby)

Class 91 x 2 - Intercity Swallow + DVT (Hornby)

HST - Virgin (Hornby)

Loads of Mk2 and Mk3 coaches from all manufacturers

A rake of post vans for my 47's

A rake of 100ton tankers for my 56

A rake of various departmental wagons for my 31

I also have loads and loads of other stuff which i can't remember off the top of my head. Just bits and pieces that I have collected over the last 25 years or so. I also owned some N gauge at one point but sold that when it looked as though N gauge stock was not forthcoming - how wrong i was!

My buying habits at the moment are focussed around the mid 90's as pretty much anything from that era can be found. However, the layout I am developing will be able to depict anywhere in the country (non electric) at any period over the last 30 or so years. So there is huge scope for additions to the fleet.

I have the following:
Steam
Smoky Joe engine
Flying snail liveried class 101
LSWR liveried class 101
Little Giant class 101
0-6-0 British railway tender locomotive(Ex-LMS,nicknamed rusty, has motor problem)
Coaches
Western region choc 'n' cream brake.
Pullman brake. (has bogie problem)
Trucks
I have a lot of trucks, including two hornby year wagons and a rake of hornby railroad tankers.
Diesels
CIE class 141 No 142.
In case your wondering Csalem, the livery is orange and black only without the arrow logos and CIE logos at the front.

I'm planning on getting more trains, since at my local model shop I saw two class 92s and a class 47 in one livery and they only cost fifty euro each. I'm tempted.......

Hey there chaps (and chap-ess's)

Long time Lurker - 1st time poster!

Please be gentle!!!

I'll name my list of the top of my head then i could do with some advice.

GNER 373 Eurostar Train Pack
GNER Class 91 Train Pack (not Mallard version)
2x Intercity Class 91 (one with working Pantograph named Red Arrows)
82 DVT Intercity
Class 47 Intercity Livery
Iron Duke Steam Engine - Not sure of Class - Really Old
Class 31 BR colours
GWS Steam Train (needs work)
Thomas!!!

2 x Mark 4 Intercity Coaches
5 x BR Intercity Livery HST's (3 Blue & Yellows - 2 Black & Yellow)
3 x BR Intercity Mark II Blue and Grey coaches
1 x BR Intercity Sleeper Mark II (Blue & Grey)
3 x Red Royal Mail coaches
1 x BR Royal Mail coach
Annie & Clarebel!!!

and about 10 mixed freight wagons, 5 Guards Vans

I'm looking to build a 'proper' layout for these (and any new purchases) to run on.

I want to base this in late 90's-early 2000's period hence my want for more GNER liveried goodies. I want to build a main line set-up with a made up Train Depot nd yards in the background showing the older liveries (Intercity HST & 91's) going into the paint shops!

I will be purchasing Mark 3's & 4's coaches in both BR and GNER liveries over the next year as i go to work on building this in my loft. I'm not basing it in any sort of area, but my want for 'other liveries' i'd probably loosely base this on Bounds Green Depot near to London - this way i can have a few more liviries flying past!

Let me know your thoughts on this idea and liveries that you think i should aim for.
