If you want to speak coffee, it all starts from espresso, which is a very intense black coffee, served in a very small cup. With a small amount of milk, it is a macchiato.
Americano is with added hot water (more what Hydro is after). Also known as a long black. But not to be confused with espresso lungo, which is brewed differently.
Cappuccino is espresso topped with frothy milk.
Latte is espresso with steamed milk added. A latte macchiato is normally milk with the espresso added.
Mocha has added chocolate.

The same for those cowboy delivery companies who give you an all day slot, don't turn up between the times they say, so you go out and return to find a card shoved through your door telling you to ring to arrange an alternative time or collect it from their depot 50 miles away...

Not entirely true, although the part that is shutting for a month around High Street Kensington is going to be very inconvenient for the duration. Not sure there is ever a good service on the District line anyway!
