I think that Kerse Rd Stirling, currently being rebuilt, is the last structure in that section, hence the announcement that evening and weekend closures end from the 20th.

I think they're all done also on the Shotts route except perhaps for a brief Briech?

No-one really knows what the latest news on Breich is, but yes, I do believe it is the last one.

Still a gap in the masts around Plean of 3 or 4 on each line. Progress overnight has seen fittings on the masts down to just North of Larbert station

A works compound is being created near to the existing Briech station so work must be due to start.

Last week there was a lot of demolition work on the railway near the new West Calder High School work site - I suspect it may have been the former footbridge being demolished.

well as of yesterday afternoon there still weren't any wires at Causewayhead or the Forth viaduct so this must refer to the other end- Polmont to Greenhills Lower finally good to go?
It appears there were several workings, starting with a 5Z90 - 01:10 Queen Street to Polmont, a return out and back (5Z91 & 5Z92) from Polmont to Cadder DPL and then 5Z93 Polmont to Eastfield CS all via Grahamston and Camelon. Timed for a Class 385.

All these test runs would use Carmuirs East and West. No need to use Carmuirs North and the lines towards Larbert, Stirling and Alloa.

would have been more accurate to have said the E&G's diversionary route via FKG than the route to Alloa. A bit of PR spin.

Would need to be certified safe before the switch was thrown to make it live or there would have been a rather large flash.

Indeed, after switch-on there are various test and approval stages ending with an ORR permission to run electric service trains and Network Rail route authorisation. This test run is one of those intermediate stages leading up to final approvals.

380010/102 and 380111 - they did find one problem but it was sorted out on the night.

A successful night then! Well done to all involved. Hopefully the full approval will be forthcoming, though when the electric passenger trains run remains to be seen!

Will we see Pendolinos from Polmadie sent over the routes for testing the OLE in a similar fashion to when they went testing on Chat Moss?

There would need to be a lot of Route Clearance work undertaken first. Although at one time Virgin’s aspiration was to run at least one 390 a day from Stirling that died a death when the franchise renewal went wrong so I don’t think it’s likely to be any sort of priority. Pendos are still not Route Cleared for the R&C, which is a particularly useful diversion, more than 3 years since it was first electrified.

I wonder if that's because something if foul rather than nobody bothered to look?

It's down to an issue with a bridge at Whifflet South Junction but it's indicative that no one wants to pay for something that would be, frankly, far more useful than clearing them to Edinburgh via Cumbernauld.
