Very rare to see first class rammed. I sense that will be enough first class.

Is that enough first class seating for the Azuma's as I have noticed that it can get quite full?
LNER’s first class always sees healthy loadings, all the times that I’ve used it. I’ve never seen it completely full though.
Plenty!
You don't want to end up like VTWC or EMT with acres of first, but absolutely rammed standard class
5X41 forward to Eastleigh. There's a 5X40 run to Acton Main Line from Newton Aycliffe today - I'll keep my eyes peeled for the identities of the units in question. My money's on 800205/206. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K02309/2019/06/28/advanced
Working the Lunchtime KX - LDS return portion of the Hull Diagram. This evenings KX - Hull train therefore cancelled.800103 failed today near Grantham, causing disruption to all evening peak ECML services
At least I'll be getting delay repay though.Working the Lunchtime KX - LDS return portion of the Hull Diagram. This evenings KX - Hull train therefore cancelled.
It struck what was believed to be a spark guard on the line that had come off either a HST or 180. Suffered smashed headlight and window as well as an air leak.800103 failed today near Grantham, causing disruption to all evening peak ECML services
Are there any photos of this?It struck what was believed to be a spark guard on the line that had come off either a HST or 180. Suffered smashed headlight and window as well as an air leak.
When I did have to get the Harrogate service when the Hull one was cancelled it reminded me how much more superior the seat reservation indicators are on the Azuma - still not as good as paper though for seeing what is and what isn't free from outside.
Indeed, unless you are standing right next to the seat you have no idea if it's reserved or not. They're not perfect but better than the other electronic ones.

Not personally from me no.Are there any photos of this?
I'm lost as too how many 800/801 are now running in the UK
Quite a few, all bar two of the GWR sets, and all of the 9 car 800s for LNER
I did notice a old man who had to look through a tiny gap in the window, due to a woman insisting in it being down.
I had my first ride of a class 800 from Doncaster to Leeds last week, and I have to say that I'm impressed. The seats were firm, but they felt just like the Mk4 seating. I did notice a old man who had to look through a tiny gap in the window, due to a woman insisting in it being down. The toilets are ok, but the taps seem to fire water everywhere. The ride was far better than the Mk4 (but then again, a pacer is less bouncy than the Mk4 in my opinion.) I don't know if it was just me, or whether other people thought it looked a bit weird with the blanked out window instead of the buffet design with the Mk3 and Mk4. Overall, it was a nice ride, and for certain aspects its nicer than the Mk4
I think that they probably would be better off with curtains, but we can only dream of such...We definitely need a French-style notice on the blinds stating the default position in the event of a disagreement.
