    LNER crew rosters.

I believe it’s crewed by Leeds. As it’s a 91 and only KX and LDS have traction knowledge. Probs a taxi from Leeds or TPE night service it over

Saw one of the Leeds’ new single decker electrics on staff bus duties tonight on Boar lane I’ve a few questions How many are heading for Bramley? Likely routes? Assume the 4/4F/16/16A for the deckers?

TPE Nova 3 (Class 68 + Mk5s) updates and withdrawal from service

Had one last jaunt out on the 68s & MKV’s today. Outbound (1634 exLDS-YRK) was slow following a northern stopper, nothing really exciting. The return from YRK 20:38 crikey we took off like a shot from plat 3 at YRK. Really felt the power of the 68 (leading) and we’ve gone hell for leather since...

HS2 Manchester leg scrapped: what should happen now?

been looking around to find a answer- but not getting far 1) NPR is still happening but will now go via Bradford then onto Leeds? Or to Marsden then separate routes to Leeds/ Bradford? 2) £12b for Manchester to Liverpool- is this to fill in for the HS2 infastrucer between...

The reliability was awful and it struggled to keep to time across Leeds. As a regular user on the Northern leg (now 38/39) I can’t really grumble at the new service. Some of timing is a bit unthought out but very rare to find cancellation and lateness is minutes not half hour +

TPE Nova 3 (Class 68 + Mk5s) updates and withdrawal from service

The 802’s (19 of them) aren’t heavily diagramed at present if I am right in thinking. 7 on Newcastle-Liverpool 4 on Man Picc- Newcastle 1 on Anglo-Scottish (WCML) 2 on Newcastle-Edinburgh 14 out of 19

TPE Nova 3 (Class 68 + Mk5s) updates and withdrawal from service

Leeds-Huddersfield is closed and only a half hourly service from Huddersfield to Manchester-> hourly on to Liverpool is probably helping

First Leeds strike from 18 June 2023

Looks like hunslet is expecting more drivers to book on than Bramley going off the frequencies that have been published. Hoping the dispute is settled quickly

The splitting for the 51/52 is very welcome news, it really is so unreliable. Be interesting to see if they keep the same frequencies on the split routes.

Have Leeds (Hunslet) had a new batch of Streetdecks delivered? I spotted a 22 plated example on the 6 the other day. It had a different style of Hanover display downstairs as well.

Transpennine Route Upgrade and Electrification updates

Hourly Hull-Hudds which will be a fast. But means only a half hourly service between LDS-HUD, half of the normal service

Most variety of units in regular use on a branch line.

The Harrogate loop must be up there 150, 155, 158, 170, 800 and 801 (coupled to a 5 care 800) Few years back could add 142 & 144 into that as well

    Easter Sunday TPE diversion timetable

Poor geographical knowledge there on my behalf and some poor phrasing on stops picked up (meant the Cass calls)

    Easter Sunday TPE diversion timetable

Usually 3 tph operate when York-Leeds is shut. 2 TPE & 1XC. Hull-Leeds has in the past been RRB but TPE now sign Leeds-South Milford via Cass so could see a 4th running picking up calls between Leeds-Selby via Cass.

The cut backs on the Leeds services really do show how much first don’t have the drivers or the cash to maintain it. The 16 is always rather comfy these days with only a 15 min frequency compared to its pre-covid 7-8 frequency I’d say since the capped fares loadings have been greater both...

    LNER New Trains (2023-)

If you were to go hourly to Bradford is would be roughly 7 diagrams and the second would be 6 so 13 overall.

I avoided that one today when I left work, luckily made the 52 at 15:10 off Moor Allerton Centre. 51/52 do seem popular candidates for being single deckered. The 40 as well seems a solid single decker route minus a few deckers thrown on

Are Leeds (Bramley & Hunslet) got a shortage of deckers? Seeing a lot of singles out last week or so on a lot routes. Even the 16 has a couple out today (usually very rare).

    Unusual Diversions.

During the some of the Woking bay (plat 3 build) one Sunday from Guildford I went up the new line to Surbiton, where we reversed to cross to the main (block on the up slow) and we then crawled to Wimbledon to be then sent via East Putney. First and only time I’ve been via East Putney.
