No, 345006 was definitely on the west side - started at Maidenhead on 9P02 0516 Maidenhead to London Paddington, working in the morning peak, then disappeared for the rest of the day. Definitely out on Reading services today from mid-morning.I could have sworn I saw 345 006 on the Great eastern side on Monday; has it moved back or did I mis-identify another unit?

Yes, seems to have managed the whole day as well. I think that is its first day back in passenger service for about ten days.345064 is on a Hayes job today by the way.
ETCS has apparently failed on the unit and it will be limping home to OOC in the wee hours. Not sure what this means for the launch tomorrow morning...Tonight's trips at Heathrow appear to have been truncated during 2203 Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 to Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 with the unit parked in Hayes loop.

I noticed on my daily email it says only 2 Class 360s in passenger service today and 5T07 (9T07) came from Old Oak Depot. So a 345 looks like it's on its way to Heathrow.
Thank You.Confirmed in passenger service, with pictures
That needs Terminal 4 to reopen (or the units to terminate at Central and run empty to Terminal 4 to reverse).I hope/expect that once the 9 car 345s bed down and the 360s are removed that the Hayes & Harlington shuttle will be converted into Heathrow services as originally planned. Even though there's low demand to Heathrow, I don't think there's anything to be gained by keeping those workings restricted to Hayes & Harlington.
That needs Terminal 4 to reopen (or the units to terminate at Central and run empty to Terminal 4 to reverse).
The gain from terminating at Hayes & Harlington is saving a whole unit diagram all day.
If not for COVID-19 the service would have been 4tph Heathrow Terminal 4 since the May timetable change.
Probably Heathrow putting the mockers on it as it would dilute demand for their “flagship” rail service.I see what you mean re: a whole unit diagram being saved. So unlikely to happen until demand picks up...
But does T4 really need to re-open for this to happen? Heathrow Express are currently running 2tph to T5 - if TFL Rail ran 4tph to T5 then that would only total 6tph at T5 (which was matched before when Heathrow Connect regularly ran to T5 instead of T4).
That issue seems to have been resolved by running the next trip empty from Paddington to Heathrow Central and then restarting the inbound working there.Looks to me like something has gone awry on 9P81 1522 Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 to London Paddington although it is on the move again after a 30 minute stop.

The next two cycles (1732, 1902 from Paddington and back) then ran fine. However, it appears that there was a further problem on the 2032 from Paddington which appears to have arrived at Heathrow Central 49 minutes late.

I think the unit working tonight's test trip was commandeered to run from Hayes & Harlington in its path

The errant unit is returning to the depot as 5P27 having I think worked onto the Terminal 4 branch - I think this means that Heathrow has just seen its second 345 in passenger service.
Edit: The later workings appear to have been run by 345030.

And now in 1080p60 as well (not mine).
345030 had been doing the honours on Heathrows today alongside 360202 and 360204 - still a few teething issues to iron out, set has variously had ETCS issues and DOO Monitor issues at various points during the day
Our latest email said they hope to get to 4 tph to Heathrow using only 345s by the end of this month. Is there a ballpark figure for how long the 360s have left?
With the lack of capacity currently at terminal ,5 I would be curious as to how. It appears the platforms are pretty full looking at real time trains. Our latest email said they hope to get to 4 tph to Heathrow using only 345s by the end of this month.
Are you sure? First 345 cycle looked cancelled to me. 5T19 ran from Old Oak Depot to provide a unit for 9T19 0702 London Paddington to Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.345059 kicking things off today on the 0532 PAD-T5.
Friends 360202+204 are out.
