Thanks for posting. Guess entry into service is imminent then?
Potentially not until one of the 6x remaining 172s either fails or has to be withdrawn?

Refresh work has currently been halted. PTI work is being completed tonight. Last weeks runs were for core functionality only.
Apparently class 378's are to be used on the Gospel Oak-Barking line as a stop gap measure they will be shortened to 4 carriages as the terminal platform at Barking cannot accommodate 5 car trains is this true?
The new class 710's are only 4, not 5 carriages. The class 378 stop-gap replacement was 5 carriages and thus had one removed. Hope that clarifies things. Is this for real - they must have known for ages that the new units couldn't be accommodated surely?

Gospel Oak is a major constraint - it is OK with four car trains but five car might need selective door opening.
Unlike other stations this platform is relatively new - in the old days the trains went to St Pancras, not here!
Redacted said:Regarding the 4car 378 on the GOB, from overnight testing there are CSDE/SDO problems, lighting issues affecting in cab DOO cameras and a signal sighting issue at Barking. Until the above issues are rectified the 378 will not run. The next 172 will still leave regardless on the 26th January.
Was watching a rail cam of Camden Junction and noticed a 172 working the 5G99 23:00 Willesden TMD to Willesden TMD via London Euston. It appeared to be logoless. Any idea what 172 this might be?
Well, yes, but if anyone wanted to know that they could go out and watch what was working and in many cases the location codes used for terminals include an indicator of the FOC. All the FOCs will know who operates what flow - much of it is publicly available anyway. For example, one could piece together which path(s) a FoC is using for certain origin/destination pairs and gain insight into their fleet decisions, and thus the relative importance of certain contracts.
I was talking to a station guy on the Gospel Oak to Barking Line yesterday and he told me, it will be two weeks before the new Class 710 trains start running.
He indicated that the Class 378 trains don’t fit the route
So does this mean 378's won't be working passenger services on the route at all?Reports from AnonW's blog (anecdotal yes, but there's no particular reason to disbelieve the quote):
Also:
Perhaps Chinese whispers at work, but there we go.

The first Four car 378 in passenger service on the T & H on Monday 28/01/19 with 2 more units being shortened to 4 car imminently.
I wondered that. Found this http://www.signallingnotices.org.uk/scans/2594/2594.pdf - looks like GOBLIN to meT & H ??
Tottenham and Hamstead Railway or Gospel Oak to Barking lineT & H ??
Doing something rather than buses and the highest capacity day ever on the route? Seems likely something you’d mix in with a 710 update to me. Spin has been the game for years. Please tell me they're not going to spin it positively...
If they do manage to get one of the 710s proved and accepted over the next couple of weeks, just in time before more of the diesels leave the capital, could we see a situation where there are 378s, 710s and a couple of remaining 172s all serving the route at once?
