Thanks Class377/5 and jonmorris0844. I have not, yet, found the needles in the 387 to GN thread.
It all seems so sudden although I vaguely recall it was stated ages ago that the 319s would not be first to leave. So is Hornsey bulging at the seams or have some 317s, 321s, or 365s gone to store/elsewhere ?. I did read that GN will have a net gain of ten 4-car units.
The net gain of 10x 4 cars is due to the fact 19x 377 that were planned to move over is now 29x 387.
319s on TL were never planned to be the first to go. It's was the biggest fleet and the fact SE drivers were on on some services and fact SE couldn't make use of the original 700 diagrams (12 car 700s were driven by Thameslink drivers). Plus the whole training set up meant TL drivers had to be started first due to the sheer volume. It's a long and complex cascade/introduction period.
As for units at Hornsey, think most of the 321 have gone now and some are already in service on GA.
