- Firstly, thank you for the comments on the heading for the coaches. I don't mind recieving any advice/updates for the stock list via PM or over this forum (I'm a nice guy )

-The first two refurbished Mark 2 Coaches for DRS, 5971 and 6001, are now pratically complete. They now have the multi working cables and the new livery (with light blue doors). Pictures (not mine)

-37402 is now back in the active pools, heard no reports of it venturing out.
-20309 is (according to Today's Railways UK, which shouldn't be in the shops yet), going to get the bogies from 20305......

•So far, 37087, 37417, 37427, 37428 and 47829 have been totally disposed of.
•Next to be cut should be 37410
•No new arrivals
•37415 and 37696 for sale
•One of the cabs from 37411 to go to a pub near Derby station!!!!

-This update was just to help sort the layout, and then I got news of the repainted Mark 2s, and then I found two mistakes. If you find anymore let me know. The layout has slightly changed, (S) means that loco is stored. This will be useful for those not used to pool codes.

Agreed. They aren't as good looking as the WAG mark2s though (neither are the WAG mark3s now, the even lighter door colour (also on the 158s and I think the ATW standard livery stock too) just doesn't work as well)

Sorry if this has already been asked on this thread, but are the Northern Belle coaches DRS stock (the locos certainly appear to be)? If they are DRS, I don't see them on your fleet list. The Northern Belle sleeper coaches are obviously mark3, but are the other vehicles a mix of mark2s (with modified door windows) and mark1s (which have a slightly differently arranged livery which looks more GWR than Pullman)?

I believe the Northern Belle is owned by Orient Express Hotels. The majority are mark 2s with the kitchen car being a mark 1.

Correct, Northern Belle coaches owned by Orient Express Hotels. The kitchen car is Mk1, the two Sleepers are Mk3s and the rest of the rake is Mk2

47712 is now deregistered and allocated to the MBDL pool. 47747 is now the only 47 awaiting its future with DRS.

9705/9707 (along with 9713) have moved north from Eastleigh to Derby.
9713 rumoured to be for Network Rail.

Notes
•47712 now in the MBDL pool. Although this is not a DRS pool code (see above), I presume its in this pool because it is a Northern Belle stock heater and so cannot run on the mainline (its engine is in a bad state and its wheels are worn).
•DBSOs 9705, 9707 and 9713 were moved to Derby RTC from Eastleigh on Thursday. 9705 and 9707 are to be refurbished for Cumbrian Coast Loco Hauled. 9713 is owned by RVEL, apparently

Looks like it's a mixed fate for DRS's 47s. Stored 47747 has apparently been sold for scrap, whilst 47712 has been saved by the team behind the Crewe Heritage Centre. Hopefully with a chance of keeping it running rather than saving it as a static exhibit.

New addition to The Crewe Heritage Centre.
We are pleased to announce the arrival of a new locomotive, to the Crewe Heritage Centre. 47 712 has been purchased from DRS 'Direct Rail Services' by a group of 4 Crewe Heritage Centre volunteers, the locomotive was today dragged on site with 2 Class 37's and a Class. 20.

A big thank you to DRS for their continuing support.

•47712 has been preserved (as you may have seen already), it has been started up and a start at removing the DRS Compass decals has commenced. The locomotive has been preserved at the Crewe Heritage Centre with the intention it will be restored to working order. It will be based at Crewe HC but will be hired out to other preserved railways, and this wouldn't be complete without an authentic livery which is yet to be decided. It's slowly getting there. The big issue is I believe is, the issue, who should fund it. Sellafield Nuclear Power Station, DfT or DRS!?

Mk3 set is alleged to be to play with and see if 68s can be used in push-pull mode. Sounds like some very expensive experimenting to me, but I guess if you spend millions of pounds on a few duffs you only need for a year or so a few more thousand doesn't really matter!

Mk2s to see the North Sea rather than Irish Sea perhaps with no sign of anything happening in Carlisle and GA short of units UFN...?
