Any update on 465/2 and 465/9 repaints and why only one 375 randomly repainted?

Can't make out why some retain the grey strips and some don't

further more saw one with white patches on it looked very shabby and the blue disabled door indicators are peeling off badly

Someone mentioned there are several liveries on these units including a modified ex jubilee livery

375609 was repainted as it had a lot of work done to the unit due to corrosion.

465/9s are being done at the moment, believe 915 is up north.

And some 375s didn't receive the grey banding to begin with!

All the 375s had the Grey Stripes on Introduction. A few Years ago, a fault was discovered in the floor bolts of the pre-2004 design units I (375/3/6/7), and in order to access these they had to remove the vinyls that were in the way. leaving them in the state that we call today.

156409 on its way back to Crown Point, ex works.

156407 to go to Wolverton on Monday for overhaul (leaves 156416 & 417 left to do).

90005 went to Crewe 2 days ago for an F exam, coming back to Crown Point via Toton's paint shop.... (That's the plan anyway!)

156407 hasn't left for Wolverton yet. It's now not planned to go until the first week of January.

Interestingly 156402 should be returning to Wolverton on Monday for a C4 exam, and some mods to bring it into line with the 156409 & 419. This includes toilet mods, seating changes (no it doesn't include new covers before someone asks!), flooring mods, lighting mods and a couple of other bits. 156412 & 422 will also be going back for mods, but 156407, 416 & 417 will be overhauled before 412 & 422 go back. 156419 is the first 'standard' overhauled 156 for GA. 153314 is planned to go for its overhaul when 156412 & 422 come back.

I assume the seat changes are new seat backs, as these seem present on the newer refurb'ed 156s but not on the older ones. Interesting that they are having to go back, I wonder if GA kept the receipt ;) Poor 153314, will it ever get repainted.....

How did I just know you'd be the first to reply?! ;)

Yeah that's the mod for the seating- new backs. 153314 has been shoved well and truly to the back of the queue now.

The new seat backs don't have mounting points of the tables, which were removed from the 156s due to either vandalism or a lack of spare parts depending on who you are talking to. The old seat backs had the mounting points but had a plastic cap over where the table used to be that looked very untidy and people kept sticking their gum in there. Either the seat backs are being replaced for this reason, or they are plastic ones being replaced by metal ones (I thought they were all plastic, but at ATW 150 I was on the other day I swear had metal ones). I would be very grateful indeed if you could shed some light on this, as I am very curious ;)

Has another 375 been repainted blue/lilac? Definitely saw one of the blue doored ones at Victoria this evening, leading unit of a train, possibly platform 8 at around 1600, so would have been the 1622 to RAM/DVP. The unit number looked like a 375/8, but I didn't catch it. Of course, could be one of the existing ones.
