These are a stop gap.
Continued investment is key. But new buses dont grow on trees and take time to order / build.
Drown on trees? Interesting!!!Lol.
Grow* but also they dont drown
A couple of B8's on the 29 today.
lvf.io doesn’t suggest so.
Unusual. I can confirm that at least one XLB was on service 29 yesterday as I saw it pass me.
awww sorry i misread you, thought you were talking about today.
Two were on service yesterday. One of them was 1063.
1073 was the other that was on 29 yesterday.
Lothian Motorcoaches SB19 GKX seems to have gained private plates. Any clues to what it is now registered as?
Below are the details of the new dual axle Panther 3's.
LC19AAA (SB19GKP) (AAA Coaches?)
LC19RAB (SB19GKZ) (Rabbies? Rather cheeky methinks.)
LC19BUS (SN19CYU) - 9009
Thanks! I see no reason for them to re-register them within weeks of buying them but I guess they will have a reason.
I see SB19 GKX isn't there, and it's no longer showing on DVLA so it must have private plates too. Also that is quite cheeky of them with 'RAB' and 'AAA' suffixes...
I believe we only got 6 Dual Axle Panther 3's...
That's weird. I saw Panther SB19 GKX at Seafield and got a photo, so it definitely exists. I will attach the photo...
Quite likely in June this year, but I don't think it's confirmed.
One of which was passing Russell Square tube station yesterday.
1082 and 1096 got a run out on the 31 this evening.
Anyone got any idea when the 13 Ex-GAL B9s enter serive?
As I said before probably June this year, but it's not confirmed so who knows. The ones at Seafield and Marine look pretty much ready bar some fleetnames/fleet numbers on a few of them.
Evening News leading today with Lothian Buses drivers set for 4 weeks of strike action during the festival.
Lothian Motorcoaches advertisement popped up on my tablet this morning with a selection of tours and dates for the summer
I’d be surprised if strikes take place.
You never know.
Apparently a lot of anger and futrustion amongst most drivers even moderate drivers but it's always harder just talking about strike action to acutely going ahead with it time will tell if a big vote for action bosses will be forced to curb there ways
Given that the issue at hand is with bullying from the management it seems quite likely that strike action will go ahead, potentially ending in figures at the top having to stand down. I can't really see any other solution.
I see one of those "Get There Greener" buses has went bang.
Looks like 133?
Can confirm 133. Just opposite the McDonald's at Gorgie. It's still there now.
