Rumour is September before these are in passenger service
I have heard from Monday 1st July it is hoped to have a 195 in passenger service on at least 1 Barrow to Manchester Airport diagram. Likely 06.47 from Barrow. Whether or not this will happen or if this is the 1st 195 in passenger service remains to be seen.
No I'm afraid and it's getting embarrassing as it's nearly a year since the first one arrived in the UK (end of June 2018)With the timetable change today have any come into passenger service?
Chances are that the FLIRTS for Abellio Greater Anglia and the new TPE stock will enter service before these units and the 331s enter serviceNo I'm afraid and it's getting embarrassing as it's nearly a year since the first one arrived in the UK (end of June 2018)
Both 195 112 and 116 at Newton Heath this evening.I passed Newton Heath Depot yesterday evening on the tram to and from the City parade.
Heading to Manchester, I observed a 195 in the shed with lights on, one has to assume that said unit was 195112 as it was parked adjacent to the fence partly obscured by a 150 in the sidings on my return journey.
They have on some units and will be completed soon on the remainder. The units that haven't been modified are banned from certain routes. Certainly no unmodified units will be in passenger service.Have the internal bar coupler issues been sorted out on these yet...?
I saw the three carriages of (I think) 195120 heading North on the M5 yesterday morning
which programme...? "the news" or...?The Rail Minister was quoted on TV again today saying Pacers will be gone by December. So when will enough 195s be in service?

They’ve just shown the report on Look North. He basically said pacers would go by the end of the year, but when asked if any have gone yet, he said no, they won’t go until new trains replace them.
Some of the Pacers ought to have been cascaded out by the 319s though, and haven't been, so I wonder exactly what the plan is. Both in vehicle count but also total metre-length, the 195s do not fully replace the Pacers, and the 331s basically just replace the existing electric stock, so what's the plan? They’ve just shown the report on Look North.
