North Curry, Curry Mallet, Curry Rivel, Catsgore and Dead Woman's Bottom in Somerset. Catbrain in Bristol.

In Somerton, Somerset there is a Tomtits Lane and in Yeovil, Somerset there is a Vagg Lane.

Tyttenhanger, near St Albans. A bus route to Cockfosters from there would not be entirely out of the question.

Titty Ho is a road (complete with a garage called Titty Ho Service Station) in Raunds, Northants.

Westward Ho! in Cornwall is the only place name in world (as far as I am aware) with an exclamation mark.

There's Sticker in Cornwall, divided into Upper Sticker and Lower Sticker: it could be said they are stick(l)ers for propriety, not that I would. My dog comes from a farm in Sticker which bestraddled the border, each community comprising about a dozen properties.

5-10 minutes away from me in Chester-le-Street. :D
And therefore not far from the village of 'No Place'.

On the East Coast mainline, there are occasional problems at one of the level crossings near Retford, and I always wish that the Guard would tell passengers that we will be delayed at "Botany Bay" (which most people would recognise only as a coastal feature of Sydney, Australia).

I always liked Thornton le Beans in North Yorkshire, or Kirby Overblow. Or Chorlton cum Hardy, for that matter. Or even Venton Gimps in cornwall

If we're on street names I like Tickle Cock Bridge in Castleford, or Crooked Usage in Finchley.

Muff and Nobber, both in Ireland

Ah Muff, home of the famous Diving Club.

Or even Idle, home of the famous Working Man's Club...

Oh dear. Wrong on two counts. Westward Ho! is in Devon and there's at least one other place in the world with an exclamation mark in its name (in fact two!!) Westward Ho! may be unique to the British Isles, but not the world.

St. Louis du Ha! Ha! Quebec, Canada.

Stand corrected on Devon but I did say as far as I am aware about the exclamation mark.

Just remembered Wetwang, a village in Yorkshire.

Chorley, Lancs
Good Easter and Ugley, and Abbess Roding, all in Essex

And for strangeness, Oa, which is a peninsula, part of Islay

Dorset, Devon and Somerset are full of odd names: Toller Porcorum (of the pigs) near Maiden Newton, Ryme Intrinseca, Mudford Sock (nr Yeovil), Zeal Monachorum (Devon)

Don't expect any appreciation at Unthank in Cumbria
You might think again before visiting Baulking (Oxon)
Or pick up some infection in Bawdrip (Somerset)
Who knows what you might see at Brafield-on-the-Green (Northants)?
Motorcycle rallies at Byker?
Not much funny about Clowne (Derbys)
Smoking allowed in Pipe (Herefords)
Now its all Over (Cambs)

There is Sandwich in Kent, and down the road from there is Deal! Both are next to each other on the railway line as well :D.

I find Dorridge quite amusing, always makes me think of porridge .

Six Mile Bottom in Suffolk makes me think of a huge posterior.

Little and Greater Snoring in Norfolk
Snodland I think in Essex or Suffolk
Snodland is actually in Kent, not too far from Rochester or Maidstone. There is also Barming.

There's New Invention in Salop, Bell End in Worcs, and Netherthong near Holmfirth, West Yorks. Nearby Upperthong isn't quite as funny but does at least have a road called "Little Cake"!

There's also Clun in Salop, often renamed 'Clunge' on signposts.

Not really funny, but there is hamlet in France called "La Mort aux Juifs" - Death to the Jews. Apparently the name is not in reference to what it would suggest, and it is moreso the evolution of Old French which is to blame.

Understandably there have been movements made to try and get the name changed...

Mold, in North Wales. Conjures up some pretty unpleasant thoughts.

Broadbottom is between Sheffield and Derby, if I recall. Draycott in the Clay always tickled me, and my wife says Openwoodgate exemplifies Derbyshire's silly names.

And some highlights from Wales: Star, Plwmp, Soar (So-arr) and Sling.
