The repaints are starting this year and will take three years. They will be painted rather than vinyled. The internal refurbs are planned to be fully complete in May. This includes finishing the 45 part - refurbs.
Wouldn't they be nearing the end of their contract in 3 years unless renewed?

I would hope that any future franchise holders would be required to keep the same branding, like what happens with Scotrail
Judging by the fact all new franchises are getting "fancy" like Great Western Railway, South Western, LNER, WMR And LNWR it will probably stay the same

When will 158 159 internal work start as they are fitting new first class seats?
Will the 158s and 159/1s recently repainted by south west trains be repainted into swr livery as part of the project?

Are stripes being removes from those first reliveried ?

Seems stations are also being repainted in a very drab but quite smart grey see Havant

The quality of the paintwork is terrible. Fratton for example has had its blue spiked railings repainting in the grey. The only problem is that the painting was done during leaf fall, so lots of leafs collected around the railings... long story short the bottom of the railings have the grey just finishing a couple of inches from the bottom in a wavey fashion.

Oh dear

At least there is new depot signage given the old signage included the old Stagecoach SWT logo

Stripes are still a feature of signage and branding in general despite being ditched from the livery

Is it different from the grey that SWT had been painting stations over the last few years?
I don’t think it’s much different at all. The same painting contractor that SWT used (Bagnall) seems to be doing the painting, at least in the Southampton area.

I wonder if you can get that colour cheap, maybe in Portsmouth... o_O

Been on 450 113 still has SWT safety posters and network map. Luckily the stickers are all SWR.

Any more 444/450 with the full interior?

Completed SWR livery units from Loughborough: 001, 003, 005, 006, 007, 009, 010, 011, 012, 014

Several versions of the new livery:

003, 007, 011, 014 in grey with vinyl stripes on both grey and blue.
005 in painted grey without stripes but still has vinyl stripes on blue areas only.
001, 006, 009, 010, 012 all painted grey and blue with no stripes.

On site at Loughborough: 013 and 018.

All units have received the blue seats except 003, 007 and 011 which were the first three through the programme.
