If unsuccessful with the application you guys progressed from guessing a new application won't be allowed on account of needing to wait six months

I see someone got invited to assessment even though initially not making it through so who knows

Is the application easier this time was a nightmare last time


They have at least linked to the GTR site off the thameslink careers page now

Not sure if it's more of an online application now like FCC was when they advertised for Thameslink, rather than an application form that you email back.

Thanks. I never got round to applying for this one I was unsuccessful last time with the temporary application which didn't help

I already have two applications I have been successful with at various stages so I wouldn't want to cause more relationship anxiety by speculating a move to Bedford etc

Yes. I've come through in the next batch. I originally applied when it first went online, had a Dear John, then got invited for testing last week. They want a lot of drivers, so I daresay they'll be at least two more lots of assessments after me.

Anyone know if Thameslink are likely to fill all the needed trainee positions from these recruitment drives? Or is there a possibility of another round of recruitment?

I would contact GTR but can't see a recruitment email.

Almost certain there will be more. Check as regularly as you can as GTR seem to be slightly more sensible in their approach to this than FCC in as much as when they have enough applicants it is taken off the website rather than be overwhelmed by applications.

Had and passed the 2nd stage assessments today (GTR) so just waiting on the results of the MMI. Without wanting to sound too negative I think the last question done me in 'experience similar to driving trains' but I'll just have to wait and see.

Really pleased to have got this far, now just keeping everything crossed

I sent my application off on 13th November 2014 and got an email confirming I'd been successful in being selected for assessment centre on 2nd December 2014.

Think they're pretty busy at the mo sorting paperwork out for those of us that are starting next month so might be a bit longer maybe, all the best though mate

Ul only be at kentish town on the wed and Fri.
Thrusday ul be out and about doing your station reports and visiting hornsey maintenance depot for a tour.
Ul also have a quick lookin at your classroom and meet your trainer. Overall pretty fun day!

Hi, I've been successful with the assessments and have been given the chance to attend a DM interview chuffed to bits.

Can anyone who has already attended advise me where they had to go and what sort of time as I need to work out how to get the time off work.

I'm expecting further interview based questions and will need to brush up on the company history/info/stats/routes that sort of stuff but any further info about the final interview would be greatly appreciated too
