By the way, when does a long bridge become a tunnel...............??
If in 13 150001 is just emerging from the tunnel, how come there is no driver in it?
The driver's hidden behind the window pillar between the second and third cab windows (looking from the left), surely. If in 13 150001 is just emerging from the tunnel, how come there is no driver in it?
Some depots have retained them for rotating HST power cars and the like; such as Heaton and Neville Hill, and of course Old Oak Common must have one of the most photographed turntables in existance. There's not much chance of gaining access to any of those locations easily though, and I can't think of any in the vicinity of stations on the national network off the top of my head. Are any [turntables] left on the mainline network, or close by? Could be a wee bit snookered here... Didcot Railway Centre here I come!
