Any news on fully refurbished Desiro trains?
RTT suggests there have been moves in and out all week. As mentioned earlier the plan requires a 4 day turnaround and 4 units in hand.Believe a completed 450 came out and swapped for an unrefurbed one yesterday, not sure on specific units though...

The delivery path on completion is 5B96 at 0450 from Eastleigh Arlington to Basingstoke Barton Mill
The arrival path is 5B99 between Basingstoke BM and Eastleigh ARL arriving at 0049.
I suspect there are possibly more moves than people are noticing, given the times. Can’t help with unit numbers at all.
No need to apologise. Another thing I noticed was that the moves are typically marked as N/R at the Eastleigh end, will this be because the works isn't fully signalled?Admittedly, just popped the date to yesterday and had a quick check. Didn't check for the other days, apologies.

I don’t think there’s any evidence they are done in batches.Have 444015, 450083, 450085 and 450121 finished?
Dose anyone know what's the next batch of desiros are being done?
Why was it removed?I sampled a full refurb today for the first time, 450119 and decided to try 1st Class. Looks nice enough and the tables are huge. The seats appear to be locked in the recline position which is my preference anyway. However it just feels cramped and I prefer an airline seat. I think most people will miss the wireless charging on the table.
Why was what removed? Nothing in the quoted post suggests any removal. Why was it removed?
2 days ago, I was also on 450119, and apart from the orange grab poles in the vestibules, I quite like it. It looks much better than the partly refurbished 450s as the fully refurbished trains have blue grab handles by the seats and the addition of plug sockets in standard class is quite useful.I sampled a full refurb today for the first time, 450119 and decided to try 1st Class. Yes, sorry, perhaps poorly worded on my part. It's quite faint and not all that obvious. I tried my phone and it didn't work..."most people will miss the wireless charging on the table"
Sorry, I read that as it used to be there but now isn't. Presumably it actually means nobody will notice it's there / make any use of it.
Overall I agree about the appearance. Personally I prefer it to SWT colours, but it is let down by those orange grab poles.2 days ago, I was also on 450119, and apart from the orange grab poles in the vestibules, I quite like it. Interiors are a mess of styles after the refurb: orange grab poles, but blue grab handles as a start. Have a look at the interior signage, a mixture of SWR and SWT signs still present as well. It just screams of a cheap and nasty job which has a very low budget.2 days ago, I was also on 450119, and apart from the orange grab poles in the vestibules, I quite like it. The SWT signage has been changed to SWR. The signage you're probably thinking of is generic signage for all Desiros. It's the same on LNWR where the London Midland signage has been replaced, but the generic signage hadn't.Interiors are a mess of styles after the refurb: orange grab poles, but blue grab handles as a start. Although the Desiro style appears very similar to SWT's, in that case. Regardless, it is a confused mess. The SWT signage has been changed to SWR. No different to the different styles of signage on the 350s.Although the Desiro style appears very similar to SWT's, in that case. Regardless, it is a confused mess.
450121 is complete and back in service.Have 444015, 450083, 450085 and 450121 finished?

I expect SWR regard that as a refurbished toilet. What the toilets could do with is the water nozzle adjusted so water doesn't spray everywhere and for the toilet paper dispenser to be modified so it doesn't shred the paper.I thought I’d read somewhere that the toilets were being refurbished too, is that incorrect or no longer the case? Was on a refurbished 450 the other day and the only thing different was a vinyl wall with blue/grey diagonal stripes.
