Hi everyone, I have only just come across this group. I completed the assessment centre last year applying for a different job with GTR.

I have my manager Interview at the end of the month.

Congratulations to everyone who has passed up to this point.

However I am confused, the application was for the Great Northern line, at what point were people being told they are going over to ThamesLink, was there any sort of warning, or literally being told at interview?

Hi mate I passed everything but failed dmi and I was led to believe great northern, then at dmi was asked what depot I applied for which it did not say on my application and was told I would be tl so at interview for me mate.

How weird. I don't recall ever getting an option to request a specific depot

My job reference is for GN I believe; however HR are hinting that I could be placed at Cricklewood.

Hi all, I am preparing for my MMI interview and I came across this forum. Baz - failing DMI is not a bid deal as you know that you can try again in 6 months and it will not count as your second attempt.
I was told that there is no spaces in Bedford for trainees.. I don't think they have a plan yet as to where trainees will be based as they need to build depots to accommodate drivers. When I spoke to HR they asked me if I was interested in GN or TL and my DMI was on TL side.
Any tips for MMI? I can't even remember of examples I wrote during my assessments..ooops.. :)

So for those that are being told that they may be based at cricklewood, what line do you current live on/closest to, GN or TL?

I live in Bedford so I would like to be based at Luton/St Albans / Hitchin or WGC..(If I pass MMI). I don't really mind if it is TL or GN as long as it is easy to get to...
Purplejonesey- did they offer you position ?
Baz - did you have your interview with GN driver managers? Apply in 6 months and we can train together ! Haha.. As I'm only available to start from April next year :))

I had my assessments and DMI so only MMI and medical left. However I would be happier if I passed MMI and only had DMI left... :) I am worried about MMI more than I should be .. however I have a week to prepare for it..
Maybe it is worth speaking with a recruitment team and asking them if they would be happy to invite you to the interview next time they need drivers instead of you applying again? I am sure they have some sort of database with people who passed important bit. I am not sure why they failed you on DMI.. did you ask for a feedback?

I have not been offered a job yet no, I still need to have my DMI interview. I done my MMI on the second day of my assessment centre about a year ago. I have my DMI at Kings Cross at the end of this month.

I currently live Stevenage, but will be moving to Baldock at some point in the near future so on the wrong side of the line to go over to Thameslink. Crincklewood would really be too far away for me to get to, and take to long if I was to get the train into work.

Baz, well they will have to find your records or you can ask for a second interview ;)
Purplejonsey, I don't think that they would offer you Cricklewood if you live on GN . They usually ask what is your preferred depot in DMI.
My MMI is next Monday and I just can not think of the answers I gave them.. :) I wonder if I can change them on a day if I think that I have a better example...

I asked this question in my interview and they said that they haven't decided but it won't be the same as it is now where you have to know them all.. It will be one or two routes for each depot.

Possibly the Luton and Bedford terminators to a few locations south of the river? :D

To my understanding Drivers would have one route , let's say ... drivers at Bedford would go to Brighton/ Luton - Sutton / St Albans - Sevenoaks and so on.. (I spoke to them today and they don't know the answer as no one has made a decision yet) So it will not be the same as it is now where drivers know majority of Routes.
