Thats a bummer, hopefully a 158 tomorrow then... Thanks150219
158766 is working 2C67 with 153329 but yeah no sign of a 158 on 2C42 today unfortunately, just 150219...
Yes, 158763 (local lines livery) and 158766 (GWR Green livery) so 763 must be in sue elsewhere hence 150219 on it today. But thinking about it, don't GWR also have that hire in SWR 158, surely that could be used if nessacary...There are only 2 x 158/0s so if one out of service or gone elsewhere then that's it.

158763 is on PM502 diagram. Starts Westbury DMU Sdgs, then AM TransWilts, PM Westbury - Bristol Parkway Corridor, last NB TransWilts (through to Cheltenham via Stroud) then stopping service Cheltenham to Bristol to finish on St Phillips Marsh.
Booked to be a 150/2.
There are no 158/0 diagrams starting Westbury DMU Sdgs anymore; thus where 763 ended yesterday at Westbury it just had to go on the best-match Westbury start diagram.
The SWR hire-in has a set diagram it usually works; to enable it to end up on an SWR service from Bristol TM in the evening. There is no practical point where it could end up on the Cornish 158/0 diagram; and get back to Bristol.
It does mean at least there will be a 158/0 at Bristol tomorrow for 2C42. Whether it gets subbed for a 150 tomorrow remains to be seen.
I thought the 158s were for the longer distance stuff and the barnstaple line with 150s for locals?I was on a 158 at PNZ yesterday... While I really like them, I don’t think they are configured right to take over the local services, but that may change... Perfect for the Regio services up to Bristol though.
That is the plan but not enough turbos have been freed up yet to allow the 158s to do long distance services into Devon and Cornwall... Someone correct me if I am wrong?I thought the 158s were for the longer distance stuff and the barnstaple line with 150s for locals?

I heard it was going to be December for Barnstaple as it would make sense with the timetable change? From January next year

Not all crews west of Exeter sign 158’s yet hence they only appear occasionally.
when you say 158/0, I take it you are referring to the 158/7s e.g. 158763/766/798??The reason it didn't appear today is that there wasn't a 158/0 available at Bristol. (See Post #128)

That's confusing
Why the hell is 158798 known as a 150/9? Or did u mean 158/9?The 2 Car ones which are shown on Diagrams as 158/0, i.e. 763 and 766. 798 is known as 150/9
