You've just given me something to do on my train home tonight!GWR Emailed a a black Friday offer on Advance fares up to 18th May 2019.
It's depends which version you use, gwr.com will accept April ok. (On Pad - Penzance route)Don't seem to be able to book after mid Feb though
Any more info?GWR Emailed a a black Friday offer on Advance fares up to 18th May 2019.
Only just spotted the email from LNER about their seat sale. Glad I did, seeing it finishes tomorrow. I bagged myself a return journey from Peterborough to Edinburgh for £45 (standard out and first return) for February 7th.
Try splitting your search at Peterborough, as the cost of using two tickets is the same as using just the through ticket from Kings Cross (£5 for KGX to PBO and £15 for PBO to EDB). Of course, this only works for services that stop at Peterborough.
An unusually good deal, as, for once, it can be combined with a Railcard discount. Very few "special offers" let you do this. Plus it also gives you a discount off TPE & Connections tickets. The only downside is you'll be stuck on an inevitably crowded service...Transpennine Express joining in the Black Friday mayhem with 25% off advance purchase tickets.

I want to redeem some of my Tesco Vouchers to buy train tickets before Xmas using Redspottedhanky.com . I have done it several times before, but I get this on the Tesco Clubcard page for the link ..
This product is currently unavailable. We are working with the partner to bring the product back in the coming days.
I just wondered what the problem is and has anybody else had this problem ?
The Redspottedhanky.com site is running , cant see any problem ..
Yesterday was the 27th November though.Planning on using a £10 ranger tomorrow, but website says offer not on (Paper says on until 27th November).
Northern still seem to be making it hard to take advantage of their offers.

Anyone got a copy of the Johnston Press form?
And can I confirm validity is from 0845?

Just a heads-up that Nectar is offering 'half points back' on LNER redemptions until 19 December. I think this is a targeted offer, so check your account.
If you have it, it's a rare opportunity to get 1p value from a Nectar point, as opposed to 0.5p.
It's better known for flights, but you can now also book train tickets via the Skyscanner* app – and we've blagged £5 off a £15+ spend for the first 2,500 people who use the code MSEDEC. The deal ends when the code's been used 2,500 times or at 11.59pm on Monday 31 December, whichever's first – but it's likely to be popular, so go quick.
You'll need to book via the app – to be eligible, you can't have booked train tickets via the Skyscanner app previously. You can use the code against the purchase of one or more train tickets, so long as the total cost is £15+.
The discount applies to all routes in England, Scotland and Wales (but not Northern Ireland), and to all ticket types apart from season tickets. You can combine it with railcards and any other deals or discounts offered by individual train firms. You can book as far in advance as you want, provided tickets have been released. Skyscanner doesn't charge booking fees.
How to get £5 off
1. If you haven't already, download the Skyscanner* app, which is available for Android and iOS devices.
2. Open the app and tap on the 'Trains' icon, then search for your journey, adding in any railcards you have etc.
3. At the checkout, tap on 'My Vouchers' and enter the code MSEDEC. Tap 'Apply' and £5 will be deducted from the total at the bottom of the checkout screen. (If you don't already have a Skyscanner account, this is where you'll be asked to register for free.) You can then pay via credit or debit card.
Works with Railcard discount too.May be worth checking your emails and spam folders if you are signed up with XC for offers.
A tidy 25% off advances in January has landed today. Its a single use pin code
The email says up to 18 tickets:Is it only valid on a single 'journey'?

MSE said:Nectar card-holders have had thousands of points wiped from their accounts after buying tickets from London North Eastern Railway, MoneySavingExpert can reveal – but if you're affected, the issue should be resolved later today.
Dozens of customers who have used or collected Nectar points with London North Eastern Railway (LNER) in the past few weeks have reported finding that points – in some case totalling thousands – have been taken from their accounts, for no clear reason.
Nectar has confirmed that a "system error" caused some customers to lose points, and LNER has confirmed that they will go back into customers' accounts today.
