GWR Emailed a a black Friday offer on Advance fares up to 18th May 2019.
You've just given me something to do on my train home tonight!
Don't seem to be able to book after mid Feb though
It's depends which version you use, gwr.com will accept April ok. (On Pad - Penzance route)
Any more info?
I got sent this from Northern earlier because there is still problems with their website. It's for a weekend rover for this weekend if anyone wants to download it.
Thanks for that, appreciated.
Just went to have a look and through fares actually now showing. Cheers again.
Transpennine Express joining in the Black Friday mayhem with 25% off advance purchase tickets.
An unusually good deal, as, for once, it can be combined with a Railcard discount. Very few "special offers" let you do this. Plus it also gives you a discount off TPE & Connections tickets. The only downside is you'll be stuck on an inevitably crowded service...
Book by 29 November 2018
Travel before 18 May 2019 This Black Friday, there are thousands of exclusive prices waiting for you to gleefully grab. And with over 200,000 exclusive seats across the GWR network, you'll be sure to get the ticket that turns heads.
Simply book by 29 November 2018 to enjoy discounted trips right up to 18 May 2019 – including journeys from Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central for just £5.00.
Stand out as the savvy traveller on board.
Ta. Is there a link or a code as can't see anything on their website.
Anybody got the link to the GWR Black Friday offer (if it's still going)?
You can do that already by "splitting".
I was quite happy with the £24.05 return (walk-up fare) I paid from Reading to Bath Spa on Saturday, rather than the £45.70 it would usually cost. This on its own was a £21.65 (47%) saving. If I was even more savvy, the journey would have cost a mere £19.70 (saving £26 - 57%) , using other options. If I was eligible for one of the national railcards (16-25, senior, HM, etc), the journey could have be done for a princely £13 - saving a massive £32.70 (71%).
Even with GWR "special offers" would you be able to do this journey for less?
I want to redeem some of my Tesco Vouchers to buy train tickets before Xmas using Redspottedhanky.com . I have done it several times before, but I get this on the Tesco Clubcard page for the link ..
This product is currently unavailable. We are working with the partner to bring the product back in the coming days.
I just wondered what the problem is and has anybody else had this problem ?
The Redspottedhanky.com site is running , cant see any problem ..
Yeah, there is a thread dedicated to it. https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/tesco-clubcard-to-redspottedhanky-warning.174066/
Thank you Darandio . Obviously I was not aware of that.
Northern still seem to be making it hard to take advantage of their offers.
Planning on using a £10 ranger tomorrow, but website says offer not on (Paper says on until 27th November).
Anyone got a copy of the Johnston Press form?
And can I confirm validity is from 0845?
Yesterday was the 27th November though.
I believe the last day of travel for the offer was Sunday 25th November.
Hopefully they'll do this offer again in January/February next year.
Thanks. Not my night tonight!
£80 off £400 Virgin Trains spend through Amex may be targetted

A tidy 25% off advances in January has landed today. Its a single use pin code

Is it only valid on a single 'journey'?
