Can confirm that
1T18 1114 London Kings Cross to Ely
Was not a 700. Perhaps the first time I've been disappointed to see a 365. Bit of a waste of £3 but there you go. I'll have another shot when they're a bit more confirmed!
Are you sane haha

yes,2R41-1001 was 700050 this morningSeems like many of the services on post 546 are 700s and post 552 May be the other way around. I cover a few of these over the coming weeks so will know for sure.
Today’s 700s were slightly different to what they will be from tomorrow. Expect various changes from now until May though.
What’s this mean exactly then?Today’s 700s were slightly different to what they will be from tomorrow. Expect various changes from now until May though.
Some of the 700s were running a little too fast today, arriving 3-4 minutes early at some stations! I heard one driver managed to leave 2 or 3 minutes early by mistake, so may well be getting a telling off!
Boarding times are faster but people are still only using a fraction of the doors available and not knowing to walk through. It took a while on Thameslink for passenger behaviour to change, so when it does it looks like things may not be as bad as feared.
(I realise I've totally jinxed things now!)
Lol I see, they are a lot faster(acceleration wise),are diagrams the same for now until May?
1st class is in unified place on 700’s,has clear signage already(yellow band/strip and window sign) ,see on Flickr by searching for ‘class 700 layout’,great pics of train layout there.I noticed more people walking between coaches because they could see. Hopefully they will put on the monitors where first class is so people don’t stand in the middle.
Even I will need to work out where to stand. On older trains front door was gaurenteed at seat at Finsbury Park. I guess I will never get a seat again at Finsbury Park. So just need to work out where to stand in comfort use kings cross or get another train.

Then getting longer from May because of the fact they are stuck on the slow lines. (At least for Welwyn and Hatfield)The journey times won't be shorter. They'll use the time saved for additional dwell time at stations.
Um,the 700’s have a different front view, headlights brighter, and the fact it says Thameslink on coaches is a bit obvious if unit is a 700!
Today I've seen first class at the back with barely anyone in it. The fact there are no announcements and the only place to see the 'you can sit here' message is if you're already sat there might have something to do with it.
While the feedback for the 12 car 700s may have been bad, given their use in the peak, the feedback from people on the 700s in the daytime have all been of the 'wow' and 'impressive' type.
Having 8 car trains on services serving Meldreth and Shepreth will hopefully prove popular.
Unless they are o this forumn/social media, they can’t know unit b4hand,unless have been on&seen specific train Service themselves. They do. But how quickly can you decide this on route on a crowded platform. Best to know before it shows up.
Hence why I said it would be useful to put the position of first class on the station monitors.Unless they are o this forumn/social media, they can’t know unit b4hand,unless have been on&seen specific train Service themselves.

Does it really matter that first class at the back has no one in it (other than on a very full train)? Just because it is declassified doesn't mean that all of the people on the train should go there.
I rode on two fairly lightly loaded class 700 services today (1934 Kings Cross to Letchworth between Finsbury Park and Welwyn North) and (2016 Peterborough to Kings Cross between Sandy and Stevenage). I didn't feel that I had to sit in the declassified first class area to make the journey tolerable.
I note that the information displays were showing some additional information on these, firstly a clock at various points and also a screen telling you which coach you were in (eg coach 1 of 8).
Thanks. Nothing in the afternoon? This morning. 20/02.
