Correct. We, as drivers, still need a brief/practical conversion to a 'Inter7City' refurbished set though - I believe it takes about 2hrs? Not sure about the Guards, I'd imagine they will need more. Have you had this yet? I think it's being organised for us Inverness drivers soon, as we have HA24 to train on now.
I went to get my training on HA25 but there was a fault with the crew egress and we coudn't get in, then all the DOLs started to flash to we had to abandon it.

What they were saying is that the diagram was originally booked for traction they signed, but when the platform display read "This service has 3 carriages" that immediately set off alarm bells since they obviously don't sign any 3 car trains!

The really confusing thing is when Journeycheck shows North Clyde services as being formed of 2 or 5 cars!

Because a 3 car EMU has a coach locked out, not because it’s physically short formed!

Think the 1255 Inverness to Waverley sounded suspiciously like a 2 car 158 when it passed my house...:{
Indeed it is.
I’m on it. Currently running 20 mins late and terminating at Perth.
Passengers being put on the 16:06 Per -> Wav.
(Delay due to being held at Carrbridge because of a late running freight train).

The 06:40 from Aberdeen to Glasgow and 09:39 return were most definitely an HST today.

Also, one of the refurbished sets was on the 13:12 Aberdeen to Edinburgh.

Without out wanting to go too off to topic. The Scotrail HST are having a full refit. Are the GWR and XC units more or less just having the doors, toilets and any other PRM mods done?

Saw three HSTs in a row this evening in Fife, two classics either side of a refurbished one - would be the 1736 to Aberdeen, 1600 from Aberdeen, and 1739 to Inverness.

The Scotrail 1st class coach is a full refit, with the fitting of a buffet counter and guards office. But the rest of the train is just doors, toilet tanks, retrim but significantly major corrosion repairs.

A refurbished set was on the 05:48 Aberdeen to Edinburgh this morning. Passed it at Montrose around 06:25

Well a fairly rare treat today got another run out on the refurb, run number five since mid October. Having been the slam door a couple of days back you notice the difference in station dwell times.

If you do your initial training (drivers) on a refurb set, do you have to then do a further conversion onto the classics or will the refurb training cover everything needed for both types?

You would have to do the slam door training as drivers have to shut the doors for empty stock moves.

We never know until an STP path appears on RTT, and sometimes not even then. Set 3 should have come North two weeks earlier, but a fault was discovered, which must have been major, given the length of the delay.

I bet! It's certainly noticeable how long it takes to carry out station duties on a classic. I've not had the pleasure of a refurb yet

That should be the second refurbished set, ScotRail tweeted that a second one was in traffic today and that matches the services they listed.
