Used to be 47628.
Once it turned up for me on an Inverness - Glasgow at Carrbridge - not impressed, I'd had to bail there because it was booked to pass a northbound one at Tomatin loop.

More recently 60041 always seemed to follow me, and its role has now been handed over to 66058.

For a couple of years a little while ago it was 47841 "Spirit of Chester", even after it changed hands from Virgin to Freightliner, it still kept turning up everywhere. 60048 "Eastern" was another one, and 156443.

These days it appears to be 67005, 170115 and 170514. Those two Turbos seem to turn up with peculiar regularity compared to the rest of the class. And 158853 every time I'm around Sheffield.

On the flip side, 43366 would seem to actively AVOID me, anybody know how much work it has actually done for Crosscountry? Never ever turns up when I see the Crosscountry HSTs.

It used to be 43145 when I was at school down in Somerset. I believe she was Laira-based at the time, so I started varying my travel plans a bit, and she turned up on Bristol, Swansea and Cheltenham turns as well, whenever I used them. This happened after November 2000, when I nearly slipped off Platform 4 at Reading and collided with the side of a departing power car. I never found out the number (mostly due to being badly winded and in shock) but I bet it was 43145.

The curse only broke when 145 received an MTU engine, and I've only seen her once after that.

313054 - Wiliam Leefe Robinson and 365505 (which is a complete Demic!) stalk me at work!!

With reference to one of my "stalkers" mentioned earlier; can't even keep away from 421 397 by avoiding Switzerland. Passing through Merseburg in deepest darkest East Germany, guess what was parked up there for the weekend a couple of weeks ago :o

PS. Also spotted it in Hamburg this time last year, couldn't be further from Switzerland!
